I loved the location of Vinh Hung Riverside. Far enough away to not be on top of the noise, hustle and bustle but just a short 5-10 minute walk away from down town, or from 9am til 11.30am & 1.30pm til 4pm to take the free hotel ferry to and from town to the hotel to which is based on an islet just south of the old town. The Vinh Hung Riverside is not a new hotel but it has been well maintained. Check-In was particularly well organised, fast, thorough but very pleasant with great advice about the facilities of the hotel and also of locations and how best to get about. Each afternoon from 4.30pm til 5.30pm the hotel has what they call a 'country market' in the gardens of the hotel where they provide a good selection of local dishes (taste size) to their guests free of charge. The hotel pool is well maintained, as are the gardens and they are a pleasure to sit around. Each room also had a balcony, table and a couple of chairs.It was a great place to come home to at the end of the day. There is a spa and beauty salon at reasonable prices and an internet room with 4 computers for guests use free of charge. Breakfasts were good and the dining area inside and out was quite pleasant. It may not be the most modern hotel but it is warm and friendly and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family. At $80 pn for 2 inc breakfast, given the standard and location of the hotel, I thought it very good value. Also, very good bikes were available for hire just outside the hotel gates and several places to have your laundry done at just $1 per kilo were within a minutes walk of the hotel. Also plenty of vendors within a few metres of the hotel selling beer, soft drinks, snacks etc.

The only negative I have on Vinh Hung Riverside is that our room felt and smelt quite damp each day we returned. However, I appreciate that in a humid climate its not easy to reduce this.

Great location out of busy areas of Hoi An but still just 3 minutes walk from the beatiful center. Well managed place with great ideas of socializing people like afternnoon buffet at the courtyard with Hoi An's special snacks so you can taste original food for free (in the price of the room). Great Beach Bar with descent drinks wher you can meet other travellers, and it's not just a party place with loud music. Lovely river view.

Lovely hotel on river front in Hoi An. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately we couldn't use all the hotel fascilities as the weather was bad during our stay and it was cold and raining. We had a beautiful room on the river but it was too cold and wet to sit out on our terrace. Breakfast was very good with a huge choice.

Do not stay at this hotel, very bad value! Loction was fine, 5 minute walk out of the main town which was fine, facilites where not good, the only thing that was ok was that it had a pool. Thr rooms where a good size but old decor the shower was so old it did not lift any higher or lower and was very poor i'm only 5ft 4 inch and i had to bend down to put my head under the shower! we asked for a garden view with a balcony we not neither! the windows where so high up and when you went over to stand on your tip toes there was a huge tree int he window!! and no balcony... we asked to move they said they where fully booked, then when we checked out they said and we said how poor our room was for the price they then said we could have moved you! breakfast was a buffet just like anywhere but i saw lots of flies over the food. Seriosly in the summer it is nice to have a pool but that is the only thing going for this place! so many more nicer places to stay. I'v travelled a lot and this was my worst experience in a while.

We were very happy with the staff and the friendliness. Unfortunately, the weather was wet and we felt damp most of the time, this was due to the time of year, nothing about the hotel. There was a great selection at breakfast and in the afternoon a delightful free authentic food tasting. We would recommend this hotel to others.

We spent New Year's Eve 2011 at the Resort and our group of 7 , Lorelle & Brian McKinna, Elise McKinna, Heather Nugent, Jane Koosney and Dan Demy Geroe, had an amazing time. The staff at the Riverside Resort had put so much time in preparing for this evening for their guests and it was a huge success. The food on this night and all the breakfasts we had were excellent. If we are fortunate enough to visit Vietnam again I will definately be staying at the Vinh Hung Riverside Resort and Spa again. Thank you for the opportunity to give this feedback.

Great location that is quiet but very close to the action in Hoi An.

Good location, nice pool area & very helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was ok

I think we had the most uncomfortable bed in the whole world. It was like the mattress was missing the top. Our Children in a separate room did not have the same problem.

Excellent location (5 mins to town) and lush, beautiful grounds with two pools. Staff speaks English very well and is very helpful. Some minor things that did not work upon our arrival (lock on door and wifi) were fixed immediately. Super breakfast buffet.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was really nice and clean. We had even fresh fruit every day in the room! Between 4 pm and 6 pm they organized an happy hour with local food all for free. It's really worth to stay there. Great!
