Staff and owner very friendly

This place is great-- a nice pool (just like the photos), lovely staff, and an amazing kitchen to cook in if you'd rather eat in! Jack and Janelle are lovely and welcoming hosts, and their staff, especially Pauline (elle parle français aussi) are so kind. We had been in some of the outer islands, so hot water and electricity was just what we needed (in between dips in the pool). Each room is stocked with tea and coffee, and even a large umbrella (which, sadly, we needed).

I can't fault Travellers Budget Motel for anything, but unfortunately it rained almost the whole time we were in Port Vila!

Rooms on the smallish side and simple. Doesn't feel luxurious but Vila in general has this feel.

The staff and owners were very friendly and welcoming. A great place to stay for the solo traveller.

Owners took real interest in what my needs were and when I discussed the possibility of a group booking, there was an immediate willingness on their part to provide necessary information without being pushy.

Jack and Janelle are fantastic hosts. They really looked after us, and thanks to a last minute decision to stay at the Motel, they made our entire trip to Vanuatu much cheaper, and much more fun! They actually saved us 5 times and about 200 dollars during the trip, including the all important early taxi to the airport on our last morning. The Motel is great value, their pool is refreshing, and breakfast was well priced, with a lot of choice. Jack makes a special effort to break the ice between the guests, so that you all get taling and acquainted. Especially useful if travelling alone. We would recommend them to anyone, but particularly people looking for a great deal, and a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended - Thank you!

My friend and I have just come back from a lovely week in Port Vila staying at the lovely Traveller's Budget Motel. I decided on staying here after reading so many lovely reviews and I am happy to say they were all right. Jack and Janelle made us feel so welcome from the first moment that we arrived until it was time to say goodbye. They went out of their way to make sure that we were having a great time and booked us on to the trips that we wanted. I was also impressed with how helpful they were with quick responses to emails before arriving. We stayed in room 1 which was perfect for us as a little quieter. The room was lovely and clean each day with the bonus of beach towels provided. It was great to have free wireless internet too. We were lucky to chat to some other lovely guests while staying and enjoyed seeing the New Year in with them. Thank you so much Janelle, Jack, Regina and all the other staff that work so hard to make their guests have a great stay.

Brilliant owner operators made us feel so at home would love to return and spend longer time. The attention to detail in the room such as being greeted with scented candles and flowers was just lovely.

Really enjoyed when everyone sat around of an evening, chatting about their experiences with Jack and Janelle, staff and other guests.

Jack and Janelle were so helpful for the design of our trip. They advised us some fantastic diving, snorkelling, and local tours. The best service I had in this kind of hotel. All the best to the 2 of them. Johann, Benedicte and Noe (France)

What's not to like about Travellers Budget Motel. For a reasonable amount of money you get a clean room with a/c and ensuite bath. Nice small swimming pool. Common kitchen where you can sit and talk to interesting people. Janelle the owner/manager is fabulous. She'll work out anything you want to do. I was having trouble renting a car and Jenelle got me a great Budget car at exactly the time I wanted it for a good price. We took trips to 2 out islands and returned to Travellers each time. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Port Vila.

Jack and Janelle were excellent hosts and did their best to ensure that we enjoyed our time at Travellers Budget Motel. We would definitely return should we holiday in Port Vila again.

Jack and Janelle are invaluable sources of information from tours, food shopping, restaurants and souvenir shipping in Vila to recommending sights, itineraries and accommodation on other islands. Very friendly and welcoming, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Port Vila and beyond

The owner operators were very knowledgeable and very friendly. Felt like they would find anything out for you and would ensure you got it.

Our room was a little dark but then it was also very private.

I dont like becaus you ask for my detel bank number and after that I have to pay again at the motel s why are you asking my banking detels I hope fore you I have not payince twice!

An oasis in the heart of Vila. Travellers was a delightful surprise with a range of facilities to suit a wide range of guests needs. The proprietors were friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. Looking forward to returning.
