Quiet, tranquil location; pleasant staff; managers both very nice and helpful people. Excellent setting, great snorkelling. Kava & local home visit evening was added bonus.
1. Miles from nowhere so you need access to transport (tho not a problem if you're happy to go on tours). 2.Too small an area to limit one's activities solely to the property. 3. Dogs in the dining area.
We had a great time at Turtle Bay. The lodge has a great relaxed atmosphere, fabulous staff, an amazing reef at the doorstep, a little beach or swimming pool for a dip and two lovely dogs on the grounds. It is in a great location to get to the blue holes by kayak and travel to Champagne Beach and Port Olry. I enjoyed the trip to the local village and my partner his visit to the kava bar. The kitchenette was handy and sufficient for our needs. Thanks for looking after us!
I really enjoyed chatting to the staff, heading out to see the local attractions, sleeping to the sound or the beach and the lovely quiet feel to the place
The only thing that could be faulted about this resort would like the distance from the main town but even so I wouldn't hesitate booking there for a longer stay next time :)
The managers and staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location.
Owners and day manager very friendly with tips on what to see/do in the area. Great location (if you have your own transport - we had a hire car) as you can get anywhere up and down the coast in under an hour. Great views to small islands across the bay. Alfresco dining right by the ocean is nice. Owner's pet dogs are well-behaved.
Cocktails mis-represented on menu and thus very overpriced - when we received them they contained no fresh fruit or fruit juices as stated, and were little more than a shot of a particular spirit with some added tonic/sprite. May have been bartender error.
Great location and a fantastic variety of activities on offer. Really close to Matevulu blue hole - a great day out when the weather is nice!
The restaurant staff needed a lot of improvement - it was always a game to see what meals we would end up with as they were never what was ordered. There was also a dying mouse in our room, which two kitchenhands didn't handle very well (I had to insist they didn't 'get rid' of it in our room...).
Trent and Emma the managers were so incredibly helpful, offering lifts when they could, offering helpful tips and were just overall great. All other staff were friendly and helpful as well. Beautiful location, so idyllic and tranquil. Close to amazing attractions
It would be great to have mains power and access to the internet and mobile service in the rooms. It would also be great if each room had a little salt and pepper supply in the kitchenettes.
