The setting near the lagoon was nice. The staff were great
There is just not enough to do. I expected more from a resort. This was a hotel room with a restaurant. The food was the dearest in Vila and not enough variety. This would be a good place for a two night stay but no longer.
The way they helped us with access to their computer, lending us money when our credit card would not work. The wonderfull view from our balcony. The coconut crab which was delicious Fruit platters at bfast great!
It was disappointing when arriving from our flight frm Brisbane we wanted to sit and enjoy the fabulous ambience from our balcony and the second cheapest wine we chose was $A48
The villa was gorgeous; Ursula's artwork in the villa and around the resort is beautiful; the food is excellent; my gluten free diet requirements were very well catered for; our hosts were always friendly and helpful; any issues in our villa were always promptly dealt with (the hot water went off and was fixed in 5 minutes!); the bed was very comfortable and very pretty with the mozzie net; plentiful pillows and towels; meals were well sized and delicious; the pawpaw jam is fantastic; highly recommend Vila Chaumieres and would definitely stay here again.
...the occasional rain! But there is nothing that Ursula could do about that. The cocktail menu is limited - but we remedied that by just having another one!
The setting of this resort was beautiful, it felt very private and was a very peaceful place to stay.
Lovely spot, quiet and peaceful, small and intimate, lovely hosts and staff, good food.
Restaurant Helpful friendly hosts
Seafood was excellent. Restaurant in nice location on the lagoon.
Found the quality of the beef only fair. The pork was poor. Broken latch on balcony door. Handle to close window fell off. In the toilet next to bar when a person attempted to enter, the handle came apart and door opened. Many items needed repair. Restaurant other than the seafood is over rated.
The owners are great very helpful and friendly.Nothing was too much trouble, they tried their best to sort out any problems. Very helpful with advise about local transport, places to see etc. Fantastic restaurant and delicious complimentary breakfast
The shower went hot and cold and had water pressure issues
Location by lagoon. Friendly helpful owners. Food very good . Rooms large and clean Comfortable bed.
Shower pressure not so strong. Ran hot and cold but owner said would get attended to.
Staff were excellent. Owners were very helpful & friendly. Restaurant was amazing! Good location - peaceful but close to everything.
Great location - good access to various scenic points. Staff excellent Owners brilliant
some issues with water flow in showers - this is being addressed
Food was great. Good personal service from hosts who gave us lots of advice. Very quiet setting in lovely gardens and beautiful restaurant over lagoon.
Unfortunately small lagoon frontage so nowhere to walk in the evening.
The whole experience was fantastic. The friendly staff, Urusula and Richard on hand to offer tips on tours and activities, the beautiful gardens, the restuarant food was fantastic, the bar area was great for afternoon drinkies and pate`the whole experience was very relaxing and hassle free.
We really enjoyed our stay at VC. The helpful owners, comfortable bungalow, tropical gardens, restaurant overlooking the lagoon and good food.
Nothing much to dislike. Main bed very comfortable, but not the pull-out bed's mattress. Food excellent but in the fine dining and special occasion category, not much for us at the budget end although breakfast of tropical fruit, croissants, toast, juice & coffee was included. It would have been good to have a toaster and microwave in the room (for heating up takeaways).
This resort is just lovely. Hosts Ursula andRichard very good as were all the staff. Food was great, but like all the other places on the island very expensive as were the drinks (except local beer).
We actually booked the resort because it said it had a private beach. It did but now doesn't, and they have taken the reference to it off all sites.
Food was excellent. Lovely quiet location, lots of birdlife. Not far into town, regular buses etc
Nothing really. Maybe the bed was a little hard, but that is not a complaint
friendly and informative staff, lovely setting, spacious accommodation
