Score from 20 reviews Very good
Very friendly staff, good food (fisherman's platter)
Some units can do with a refresh, but overall good standard for budget Savai'i
Great family-run resort in a peaceful, natural setting. Comfortable and spacious rooms. The staff's warm welcome and attentive service makes you feel like a member of their extended family, and they all worked together to put on an entertaining show with music, dance and crafts in the evening.
Although the food was varied, abundant and a good representation of local fare, some menu items were not available during my stay (which was admittedly only one day).
Great location! Take this tip and ask for unit 5, so close to the water and such a great view, also had the choice of sleeping inside or out. Take a torch with you.
Early morning sweeping of the sand outside the unit was extremely odd and woke us up. Beware of the bugs.
We liked the ensuites and the shady fales, the kayaks and access to the water. The staff were friendly and helpful, but communication was not always easy.
everything was a little shabby, holes in the fale roof (members of our party slept in the open fales, mosquito nets had holes. The location was on a bay and not the open sea, which meant the water was less clear and attractive for swimming which we particularly wanted.
The service and accommodation was excellent. After a bit of a rocky start in savai'i the staff at bayview (Amelia, Janice and Anu) went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The bungalows were lovely and the lagoon was beautiful. Thank you bayview!
warm welcome, greeted us politely. Janice was lovely. The room's were nice, spacious had a kettle and fridge was lovely and a very good air conditioning room. The car park space was good, the swimming bay was beautiful and the breakfast was lovely. Overall a beautiful place, that has a lot of potential:)
Their was not enough space to make food on the table that the fridge and kettle was sitting on. OUr shower was not working or worked at all for the two days we were their, so luckily for swims and visiting family at another resort, we used their one. my partner could not eat eggs which they were aware of, however gave him no alternative to 'eggs'. My partner was not happy with that as he only ate toast, he ended up getting his noodles. We were late for breakfast one morning and did not want to ask if we could eat late as we didn't know if it was okay too. (didn't want to be rude).
The friendly and helpful staff, the food was great, mostly local food
Facilities are fine, but not quite as expected
Friendly staff, very helpful
Room not serviced daily, needed to follow up with towels, etc. couldnt always have food - not all amenities available - needed to travel to other hotel to access rental cars, purchase internet access, etc
Staff are friendly but need training in the hospitality industry.
No pool which was advertised. Facilities are not up to what is advertised. They struggle to adequately run a resort and meal plans. Menu unpredicable and they run out of supplies. i.e. only bread available for lunch one day. Nothing else. Isolated.
Our hostess, Janice was the hostess with the mostest. The staff were great, accommodating our every need and want, giving us the best Fiafia night. We absolutely loved our stay.
The staff were very friendly; free use of kayaks; close to lagoon and other interesting sites.
Bayview Resort is better described as beach bungalows.
Wonderful and delightful hospitality. Very friendly, yet never intrusive staff. Some of the units have both indoors sleeping with airco and a bathroom and outdoors sleeping in the open air fale patio - handy if the people in your group have different preferences. The kitchen produces great meals. All in all a marvellous experience. THANKS!
