Large room, kitchenette had microwave, jug, sink and utensils It would have been really nice if you couldnt hear eveything happening next door
Paper thin walls, dodgy towels no detergent, dish cloth and they didnt seem to change the teatowel
Breakfast was good. A bit off everything. Nice and clean swimming pool, a bit too deep for little kids. Big tennis courts. Rooms are dated but what you see in the pictures is what you get. Overall not a bad place for families and not to far from town. Friendly staff
The toilet water would rise so high that it was nearly touching your bum! We had a con joining room with our parents next door there toilet over flooded, then they tried to blame our children for turning keys behind the toilet bowel which is rubbish. TV in our room was shocking. Couldn't see picture at all but in parents room it was like HD so guess it's luck of the draw.
The shower had hot water with good pressure. Staff helpful
I particularly liked the location: away from the main busy streets of Apia but yet close to the city. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Restaurant has good options on the menu and the pool and tennis court are definitely a plus.
Wifi could be free, but no hotels in Samoa seem to offer free wifi so it's not a major drawback.
Food excellent, staff are very attentive and friendly in the restaurant.Close to town, air con is excellent. Some restaurants are close by, Lynn's Getaway Store is really good. Taxi's are cheap for the way home. Comp Shuttle is excellent.
Messages not being passed on. These were important family messages from Apia. Kitchen in room is not what you see in the picture.Restaurant ran out of food on our last night so got stuck with Spag Bol for dinner.
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Although they don't know were places are when you ask i.e local spots to see.
Very old flat pillows and sagging mattress. Boring breakfasts.Expensive wi fi. Building and facilities are old and dated. Cleaners leave TV on and lights and air con, even when there is nobody checking in, this caused us a very noisy night, until I got up went to reception and asked them to go and turn the TV off. This also happened to another guest. Having the booking site quote in USD is very annoying , why not use the local currency so you actually know what you are paying.
Good and clean facilities. Included breakfast-buffet style was excellent. All staff very helpful and my room was kept in a pristene state. Location was excellent being close to town but out out far enough to exclude noise.
Friendliness of staff. particularly the bar and restaurant staff.
Inconsistancy of shuttle service to/from town centre.
We spent our last night in Samoa at Insel Fehmarn after a week in a very grubby fale. We were delighted with the Fehmarn's spotless bathroom and kitchen, clean, fresh linen and spacious clean room. The reception staff were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The nightly rate is very reasonable. We highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel's location could be better but is ideal for using as a base while exploring the region around Apia particularly when you want to come home to a comfortable room after a hot day's sightseeing. It is also an easy drive to the international airport (about 40 mins) and taxis are available 24/7.
Staff, Flexibilty, Friendly nature of everyone there, food was great, always clean, 24 hour service, also the fact that my dad who had jst had a bypass heart surgery was able to have his family visit him in his room, staff always willing to help with anything, also it was close to town, hospital, shops everthing
Can't think of anything we didn't like
Restaurant and door staff were beautifully polite and friendly ready to serve you with a smile. Every time we left the room our room would be serviced even though we had said it's not necessary. You could tell they had wiped surfaces and tidied and changed linen and there was always a very pleasant lemon scent. The BBQ night and Sunday lunch. The pool. The location is close to Apia and very good restaurants and tourist attractions. .
Laundry needs maintenance and cleaning. There was one staff member on reception who was very sour and rarely engaged or smiled. That can make or break an experience. Christina saved that experience with her warmth knowledge and service
Close to town, good value for money, nice large room
big rooms,good breakfast
no show at airport. check out at 11am and if late checkout then have to pay wst129dollars.
I liked that it was really close to town.
I didnt like that the check in was alot later & the check out was early.
We stayed here twice during our trip to Samoa. It suited our needs perfectly in that it was good value for money, a good location just on the outskirts of Apia and close to the Robert Louis Stephenson museum. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. We enjoyed the pool and the buffet breakfast. The evening restaurant food was the best we had in Samoa and the service friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience.
Okay the rooms were nice but few thing not good like room next door was being done up and lots of noise early, pool area wasn't in use for 1 day due to painting (why do this in the busy season) + after that deck chairs were not put back. And why have house keeping knock on door at 9am every day I wanted to sleep in relax as on holidays. Would not stay again much smaller cheers places around with better feel than this larger hotel. But very nice breakfasts
as above are some reasons plus hard road to walk on at night and daytime (dangerous) look harder you will save more tala in you pocket
I almost like everything, like their service and the staff are very nice...
I didnt like their breakfast....They have the same food for breakfast everyday...
Staff were great, shuttle to town good since nothing is within easy walking distance from any hotel in Apia. Restaurant staff very good, free breakfast OK but minimal selection of fruit, NO fresh coffee, instant only :-(. Rooms big size, bed comfortable. Close to ANZ ATM and small convenience store to pick up water and snacks.
Hotel a little tired but clean. Really need a car to travel around Apia and Upolu, long walk to everything. Quality of restaurant not top notch, fish overcooked, pasta bland, lunches tasty and good price. Dinner go elsewhere, nice Italian restarant down the street. In all a 3 star hotel.
This hotel is very good value for money. The staff are professional and friendly. We loved the swimming pool and the poolside restaurant where we enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner. The food here was the best we had during our time in Samoa. The room was a bit dated but perfectly adequate and comfortable with aircon, ceiling fan, kitchenette, ensuite and outdoor balcony. Everything was clean and tidy. The elevated location above Apia is good and still only a 5 Tala taxi ride to downtown. The Robert Louis Stevenson museum is also quite close. For those wanting good, basic but clean and affordable accommodation, this hotel is ideal.
Complementary breakfast was beautiful with lots of choice. The rooms were cleaned each day. Standard of rooms were good and value for money.
For the price paid, I was really impressed with the food, facilities (pool / tennis court / rooms). Real value for money.
Liked everything and would have given them an Excellent except I was comparing it with a resort facilities, beach location etc which charged 4 times as much so wasn't sure if it was fair to call it "Excellent".
Reception trying to charge me for accomodation that had already been paid
The comfortable beds Air conditioned rooms Privacy Customer service in restaurant Food in restaurant was satisfactory
Prefer that sheets were changed every day and that towels were also provided daily. A microwave should be in every room. Milk was not provided Coffee & sugar was not topped up daily I would have liked to have seen more cultural foods e.g taro, umu, raw fish, more fish shellfish on the menu There was not enough culture shown at hotel e.g fire dance displays etc
My credit card was charged with the full 2 weeks of my reservation on the first day there without my being told at that time. When I tried to give notice on the Thurday to vacate for 2 days on the Saturday ,then return the Monday night , I was told that I could not be refunded those 2 days as I had booked through a booking agency. I found this all less than optimal as I have always thought 24 hours notice was all that is required to cancell any reservation for a hotel stay . There was no written copy of the hotel's cancellation policy for me to refer to available in the information book in my room . Using a booking agency apparently caused the problem . .?better to book directly with the hotel.
