Good clean place
Excellent garden setting and friendly staff.
Reception staff confusion in relation to a pre-arranged NZ$ tariff and their standard local currency charges. Breakfast poorly presented with little choice.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were very good and well maintained. Breakfast was very nice
staff were friendly & helpful breakfast included swimming pool & area a good place to meet & catch up with other guests & cool off
Air conditioner started leaking 2 days before we left, staff unable to find anyone to fix it in this time Hot water in shower not reliable, took ages sometimes to get hot water, pressure not good & temp of water not consistent
Staff were lovely. We stayed inside the main building which was quiet, and relaxing. Handy that you have access to a kitchen so you can make your own lunches/dinner if you want and keep drinks in the fridge. Good location on main cross island road, some nice restaurants nearby.
Nice grounds, exceptionally helpful front desk staff. Lobby has a cozy but open feel. Breakfast was kind of odd, but okay; "pancakes" were more like what we'd call crepes in the US, but I quite liked them. Located just down the road from two good Italian restaurants.
Breakfast was kind of odd; flat-tasting beans one day with hard-boiled eggs. We stayed in the bottom floor of the main building--a bit gloomy down there. Not much else to complain about.
Lovely garden and pool. Nice breakfast with endless tea and coffee. Clean rooms.
A good place to chill out
Nice breakfast, good atmosphere
We wish the garden fale was available
Staff very friendly and helpful. Can book rental cars . Have security on at night. Is positioned on the cross island road .There is an italian restaurant and a vegan restaurant within 200m of the accommodation.
We use it because it's handy to central Apia and on Cross Island Road if you are heading to the South coast. We had a rental car.
The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.
The value for money Hot and cold water unable to be regulated Tv in room not able to be watched Internet in some rooms not working
The breakfast was really good. The location is convenient too.
The walls are very thin and you can hear everything. I ended up sleeping with the earplugs.
Stuff will help you in all cases, best value for the money. but more youth hostel than ****-hotel.
Staff were brilliant. Breakfast great. All the basics at a cheap price.
Having a room closer to the road than the front reception (with attendant traffic and dog noise). Being kept awake by reception phone dining all night and into the early morning.
Food was good.
We arrived at 1am due to flights- had Booked a room as advertised as a picture of a double bed in a room and they stuck us outside in a fale on a mattress with mosquito net sharing with another lady- did not sleep that night at all. I questioned the booking the lady kept ignoring me and saying 'yes fale'. They must have been fully booked and they gave our room away. Not impressed.
Friendly and helpful staff members...convenient location to purpose of trip to Apia! Thanks!
Loud footsteps from top floor of my room #9....need solid flooring(cemented). Everything else was great!
The rooms were extremely small, noisy (aircon and street) and dark. The garden turnend out to be small, the pool was just a big basin put on the lawn.
excellent and helpful staff
close to a noisy road bathroom should have been in better shape, for the price
All the staff were lovely and very helpful. While not a 5-star hotel, the Outrigger is very pleasant, clean and great value. Garden is beautiful. There are some good restaurants nearby too.
Great management and awesome staff.
the hospitality was great
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Would stay here again.
Stayed here twice, second time I spent a tiny bit more and got a MUCH NICER ROOM. All the pros are for the nice room: * Air conditioning works well * Mosquito coverings on doors/windows mostly OK. * Pretty quiet. * Nice flowers in room. Overall: Quite nice if you get an AC room, terrid if you don't. Staff always lovely.
The first time I stayed we didn't get an AC room, and it was a bit meh (for hardly any less money): * Crummy/no mosquito covers. * Windows didn't close properly. * Too noisy to sleep (dogs fighting, cocks crowing, cars hooning). Both times I visited: * Bizarrely, the alarm clocks were off (both times) by 1.5 hours, and both went off at 3am with the radio. WHY?? * The nice bowl of flowers and water in reception is full of mosquito larvae.
