nothing, liked everything
Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and staff at Parkers.
Breakfast can be communal around a large dinning table or private. The food is great!
Breakfast was amazing, position was great for walking into the city, staff very attentive and professional, wine tasting night twice a week was a real bonus
charming and individual care, great suggestions and maps for excursions, fantastic breakfast and great wine tasting evening
Professionalism and friendliness of all the staff Extravagant range of breakfast options Easy access to Kloof and Long Street areas
Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
We didn't stay long enough.
Enjoyed our stay immensely
I found the fiddle of the keys for rooms 1 and 7 a bit of a nuisance. This is my only negative about our stay.
South-African B&B are know for their high quality and warm hospitality but Parker Cottage goes beyond. Phil, Tomas, Lexi and the staff do play in a class of their own (even more so when looking at the rates). Many thanks for sumptuous breakfasts (with delicious coffee in particular) in your lovely garden, a very nicely decorated room no 6 and, most importantly, your briefs helping us to make the most out of our 4 days in Cape Town. I will certainly return to the Parker Cottage the next time I am in Cape Town.
Loved the breakfasts, friendly service, warm welcome, help with our queries, excellent printed guides to restaurant options and easy access to town.
Personal service Breakfasts are exceptional Verandah and garden are shady, comfortable and relaxing Nothing is too much trouble for the staff Decor throughout the building is beautiful

I had a wonderful time for the two nights I stayed at Parker Cottage B&B in The Kane Room(#2). The delightful Lexi greeted me immediately as I arrived [I was still on the street] and offered me an excellent craft beer(Darling Brew) while we went over things to do during my visit. The restaurant recommendations were great and the wifi was solid-- I was able to google voice no problem. The first night, I went out to Long St and came back a bit after 22 and did not feel unsafe. [Just be a bit quiet when coming in] Second day, hit up table mountain[started from the Cottage] and a nice place to eat. Third day, did a tour of cape point and flew home. The excursions were fun and the Cottage made a great home base. The breakfasts made a wonderful start to the day. The honesty bar was a nice touch too. The Kane Room was cozy, but hardly small[a couple could stay there no problem] and because of the wood floors you could hear other sounds easily if you cared. However, I was able to sleep uninterrupted until about 7-8am, which was pretty normal since I was already accustomed to the time change. The room provided soap, shampoo, facial scrub, and probably other necessities that I did not notice/use. The room also had a universal power adapter in it, which was nice. ie: it had everything I needed. Random Tidbit: Apparently, this week(~11/13/13) is the owner's five year anniversary with Parker Cottage. Background: I was travelling alone since I was visiting Stellenbosch for a conference(PhD Student) and took two nights to stay in Cape Town.
There were no problems, everything went smoothly.
Great hospitality, wonderful house, perfect located - we very much enjoyed our stay!
centrally located, beautiful building - inside and outside, 5-course breakfast, extremely welcoming staff
Phil and the entire staff are incredible, one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Phil is your personal concierge, he helps with everything! He helped with airport pickup and arranging a rental car. There is also a wonderful hosted wine night weekly, not to be missed. The cottage is beautiful and breakfast amazing!
