138 Marine Beachfront Guesthouse is an enchanting base from which to explore this magnificent eco-destination and an hour’s drive from Cape Town International Airport.
The area is renowned for possibly the best land-based whale watching in the world (from May until December).
The guest house is a stone’s throw from a quaint assortment of village restaurants, craft markets, boutiques, bars, art galleries, charming little shops, and unspoiled beaches. Located next to the beach pathway, it provides exquisite sea and mountain scenery.
Travel information
By car:
- Arriving at Cape Town International Airport, follow the N2 North in the
direction of Somerset West.
- Cross Sir Lowry’s Pass and Houw Hoek Pass.
- Take the R43 Botrivier/Hermanus turn-off to your left.
- Continue another 26 km, past Hawston, Vermont and Onrus.
- Turn right onto Main Road at the 2nd set of traffic lights (2 km before
Hermanus).
- Follow the road until you reach the T-junction at the beach front.
- Turn right onto Marine Drive (Kusweg), the guest house is 500 metres
down the road.
