With great Atlantic Ocean views, The Ritz is just 1000 ft from the beach and minutes from the V&A Waterfront. It boasts the only revolving restaurant in Cape Town.

Located in the suburb of Gardens, Amber Tree Lodge offers twin and dormitory accommodation. The hostel has a tour desk and is just 1 minutes’ walk from trendy Kloof Street.

Score from 201 reviews Wonderful
Friendly, helpful staff. They give great suggestions on where to go! Clean facilities, good wifi, loved the common area where we watched tv and socialized. Definitely the best hostel I've stayed in!
The place was very clean!
Only when we arrived did we discover that Sunflower Stops core business is to cater for backpackers. It is definitely not a 4 star guesthouse! As the only private guestroom is right above Main Street it is very noisy!
Friendliness of Staff. Great location. The attitude of the staff led to considerate fellow guests and I slept very well.
The staff was very kind and helped me in every moment. Best hostel i have ever been. Love the bar.
Friendly staff and the facilities are neat and tidy. Great place, even though it is on the Main Road, once you go through the gate, it feels like you are somewhere tropical. I would definitely suggest to anyone looking for a break or wanting to meet new people
There was this window at the top of our room where natural light use to come early in the morning (6h) giving us a hard time to sleep.
I liked the friendliness of the staff at the Sunflower Stop, the atmosphere the accessebility to the Waterfront and the other malls. We stayed at the Sunflower with the other guests as one big family
EVERY ABOUT THE SUNFLOWER WAS GOOD
There is a bar in front of the hotel, we can buy beer or water anytime. It was really convenient.
The shower water was cold. Wifi was so poor.
location, within a busy street (restaurants), around 20-25min wlk to waterfront so not bad at all. staff always around and helpful. we stayed in a twin room which was good value for money
as long as you accept that you are staying in a backpacker place and yes it is a bit noisy and can get a bit chilly at night, then you will not be disappointed!
Location Neatness The bar The new coffee machine Very helpful staffs
We did the Cape Town Peace run, walking distance from the Sunflower Stop.
The absence of a bathroom door.
the staff was nice and helpfull and the locations was good
I was probably unlucky but my room had only a small roof window, smelled cook from the kitchen and the wifi didn't work. I heard all night the creaking of the floor when people walked in the hallway.
Staff was helpful every time we asked a question about getting around Cape Town, not far from a nice little cafe called Giovanni's, wifi connection was very strong...perhaps because we were staying in the room next to the front desk
water could be warmer from the shower, lukewarm at best
- Great people and atmosphere - Easy to meet people at bar - Safe and good location - Free parking is easy
silent and clean. staff are very nice.
location is little bit far from middle of city.
Every Saturday night has good Braai.
1)I could hear everyone walking on the aisle in my room. 2) A shower room upstairs with too little hot water.
Clean room, sparkling pool, functioning bathroom and toilet facilities. Quiet location. Andrew and other staff were very helpful.good security arrangements. Andrew made a special effort to accommodate our Mercedes benz in a lock up area. Our room was provided with lovely new curtains on our arrival.
We were surprised to discover that Sunflower is a backpackers and not a guesthouse. But that was a small issue.
proximity to anything in Cape Town, good value for money and helpful staff
a bit noisy as it is next to the main road
Everything was brilliant. Was totally impressed with the cleanliness. Manager was the best.
free salad and Bread for "Braai" Friendly helpfull staff, very clean. Perfect location.
Very friendly staff. And you even feel you are within the comforts of your house. A real value for money and it will be a waste of time searching for accomodation on my next visit to South Africa.
Great Location, Very Clean and comfortable , Friendly staff and very helpfull...
Everything was great
The rooms are comfortable, the staff is very friendly and there are amenities such as a swimming pool and a bar which is a great place to hang out. It bills itself as a hostel but feels more like a guesthouse and is conveniently located between the Waterfront, downtown area and Sea Point (all of which are within walking distance). It is really safe and parking is easy to find. We were very satisfied and highly recommend A Sunflower Stop!
The internet connection in our room was a bit spotty.
Friendly. Good location. Pool and bar facilities. Own room
No AC. Facilities pretty basic (shared toilets and showers) but as one would expect for the price
The relaxed atmosphere & extremely cool staff!
