Lovely place to stay, and looked after royally
We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was perfect. The room, the location and a very warm welcome from the manager and her team. Breakfast at the pool with view on the mountains was fabulous. We will come back
Very nice stay in Swellendam and very kind and helpful staff. Our tire was loosing air and was replaced in 10min's. Car was cleaned in the morning!
A very friendly and welcoming guest house in a beautiful setting by the river. Loved the traditional building and rooms and regretted we were only staying one night. Great breakfast and overall fantastic value.
There was nothing to dislike.
We were very impressed with our stay here and will definitely return for a longer stay.
Charming guest house by the river. Rooms overlook the river & has superb view of the mountain in the mornings. Safe neighbourhood. 5 min walk to shops, hairdresser, info centre, swellendam museum n craft shop. Good dealsnon local craft here. Breakfast by the fireside on a cold winter morning was lovely.
The friendliness, the view, the roominess and the garden.
Very noisy fan in toilet
The guesthouse is in a beautiful surroundings and views are stunning
There are no plugs situated near any of mirror the which made it difficult to dry your hair
Idyllic location at river a few minutes from centre. Beautiful room with stunning views. Lots of attention to the details which make a stay special. Excellent breakfast. And a gift of muffins for the road!
Everything!! The setting by the river and the utter tranquillity and peacefulness. The loft room is beautiful and so comfortable. Breakfast excellent and advice on what restaurants to go to for dinner was spot on!! All in all .... we want to return soon as possible and highly recommend the establishment to all travellers.
there is nothing not to like!!
Very comfortable, walking distance to restaurants.
Nadir made us feel very welcome. The Guest House location and scenery is par excellence.
We spent two nights at Aan dr Oever and we're treated in the best way possible. Prior to our stay we told the staff that one person in our group would celebrate her birthday while in Swellendam. Upon arrival we were treated with champagne in the beautiful garden if the guesthouse, overlooking the magnificent mountains and the creek. The birthday lady was also given a gift on her special day. Wow! The rooms (the Bookmakierie room and the Barn owl room) were absolutely fantastic overlooking the Langenberg mountain and the garden. The breakfast was great offering a wide range of different options: eggs, sausage, fruit, bread, jam... Great place, very clean rooms with a stylish decor, in a fantastic environment!
Very helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Particularly appreciated the car being washed.
We booked at last minute and got last available room. Other rooms had mountain views. Ours was a road side room which made it a bit dark. Given our late booking we were very pleased with our stay. The staff were excellent. Lovely mountain view from breakfast table. Had excellent meal at Field and Fork restaurant, booked by hosts.
Very happy with stay no complaints.
no swimming pool only splash pool
The gardens were fantastic leading down to the river, the views to the mountains stunning . The room was fabulous with lovely touches, roses, dressing gowns and complimentary sherry. Breakfast on the deck was delicious.
It's a Nice place but we couldn' t enjoy it because it was pouring. Sheela from Réunion island
The location was good with easy walking into Swellendam and it's restaurants. The room was private and quiet and very comfortable giving a good night's sleep. Breakfast was taken on the terrace with superb views and was extensive with something for everyone. The welcome was warm and the knowledge and advice was very helpful.
There is not much to dislike. I had to go into the garden or communal lounge to connect to the wifi but not really a problem.
View, friendly staff, breakfast and the character of the house. Big mistake not booking for more than one night
The friendly staff
The guesthouse needs a bit of tender love and care
If W-lan is mentioned to used in all facilities this should be the case . Best receiptinon was on the balcony - too bad it was raining. When moving the deck chairs one panel broke. All in all a nice place but some refurbishment is needed
We spend only one night in Aan de Oever and were completely satisfied. Rooms and environment are clean, fully equipped and located in a beautiful garden. Owners were very friendly and supportive in making dinner arrangements.
breakfast in the garden.
