Absolutely wonderful experience. The hosts are super friendly, Klaus is a very good cook, the ambient is just extremely cozy. You feel like you're miles away from everything else and can only enjoy the view and relax. The pool and garden are very well maintained and the view can make you travel far far away while seated under the porch. Their 4 legged friends are as friendly and always ready to cuddle and running around. Feels like the rich grandmothers house where all the family gets together. The rooms are nice, simple but comfortable and spacious. Although its a bit price relating to others, I would definitely recommend this lodge if you want to really relax and enjoy a quality accommodation.

The Abangane Guest Lodge is beautiful and my wife and I wished that we could have stayed there for longer. The Abangane Lodge is real close to Kruger National Park, so if you prefer 5 star accommodation and easy access to Kruger National Park, it is definitely the place to stay. Klaus and Ridwaan are excellent hosts and immediately made you feel at home. Even before we have arrived at Abangane, Klaus was very helpful and answered all my questions. We also recommend having dinner at Abangane one of the nights during your stay. The dinner prepared by the hosts was delicious and we still can't stop talking about the ostrich dish.

Wonderful setting with a lovely view of the valley. Accomodation - comfy rooms with an out of Africa theme. Food - good breakfasts and stunning dinners Staff - extermely helpful, nothing was too much trouble and one was made to feel at home. I highly recommend Abagane and will return in the near future. Happy New year Klaus, Rodwein and all the staff. May 2012 bring you happiness .

Its a hidden treasure. Extremely clean and surrounded by beautiful nature. Views from our room and breakfast table was amazing!! Welcoming drinks on the house great idea especially after a long day's drive. Also the owners are very friendly and warm. They also booked Safari Game drive for us and made us lovely breakfast for our trip...The pool is over looking the lowveld valleys and mountains which brought us some relaxation and beauty... Amazing place to stay at Did not like that we were a couple and had to sleep in single beds just put together. The bed I slep in also sank which was uncomfortable for couples they should find a better way of combining the single beds into double.

What a wonderful place in which to take a break from a hectic life. Surrounded by amazing countryside Abangane provided a home from home. This is not a family lodge which is wonderful for those who do not have children - peace ruled!

The hotel is situated near the base of the Blyde River Canyon and is also very near several gates to Kruger Park. The building is a farmhouse beautifully landscaped in breathtaking countryside on the edge of the Drakensberg Escarpment. There is beautiful infinity swimming pool perched on the edge of the view. The owner is utterly charming and makes guests feel instantly welcome. As a bonus there are three lovely dogs who are happy to play with all guests that like dogs. It is worth planning an extra day here just to enjoy the view and the atmosphere. Breakfast was good and there is an assortment of small town bars, restaurants and shops for those who wish to venture into Hazyview.

Fantastic and superb owners. Service is wonderful and they cook great as well! All-in-one combi with the greatest rooms and view one can imagine. Would recommend this highly to everyone staying around Kruger.

Ach hätte man doch auch doch den Mut, einfach auszusteigen und an diesem herrlichen Ort ein Guesthaus zu errichten. Man wird richtig neidisch auf den Hausherren, einem deutscher "Aussteiger". Das Hotel ist toll. Sehr schöne, große Zimmer, Pool, traumhafter Garten mit genialem Ausblick auf die umliegende Natur. Wenn man vorher es vorher anmeldet wird einem auch ein Abendessen gekocht. Sehr faire Preise. Nicht abschrecken lassen vom "ersten Eindruck". Von der Straße weist ein nur kleines bescheidenes Schildchen den Weg zum Paradies. Dann geht es ca 1,5 km über eine holprige Schotterpiste. Dann ist man da und möchte für immer bleiben.

Bestens geführte kleine Lodge in sehr schöner Lage nahe einer Kleinstadt mit allen Einkaufs- und Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten und dennoch in absolut ruhiger Lage mitten in der Natur. Chef und Mitarbeiter jederzeit ansprechbar und äußerst hilfsbereit und informiert. Excellentes Frühstück und, auf Wunsch, ebensolches Abendessen in sehr angenehmen Ambiente und hervorragender Service. Sehr schöne Zimmer. Jeder Wunsch und jedes Anliegen (Tourenplanungen, Menuwünsche, Massage) wurde umgehend perfekt erfüllt. Jederzeit wieder! Herzlicher Dank an Klaus und sein Team!

Tijdens ons verblijf van 14 dagen in Zuid Afrika met 10 verschillende lodges was deze lodge een van de beste, geheel passend bij onze wensen.. Uitstekend diner op het terras, romantisch, persoonlijk, uitstekende bediening, luxe grote slaapkamers, prachtig zwembad, heel gezellige sfeer, geen overdreven luxe, prachtige avond verlichting en uitkijkend op een vallei. Het geheel heeft iets weg van een franse villa aan de riviera. M.i.goede prijs/ kwaliteits verhouding. eigenlijk niets, behalve de entree, zeer simpele ingang met groot hek welke wordt geopend via een code, waarna nog 700 m over een landweg moet worden gereden. Overigens werkte de toegezonden code prima om het hek te openen.

De ontvangst verliep vlekkeloos, inclusief welkomstdrankje. Voor het diner kon nog op het laatste moment gereserveerd worden. Uitgebreid betaalbaar diner, goede wijn te kiezen. Uitgebreid koud en warm ontbijt. Voor informatie over dagtrips konden wij bij de staff terecht. Persoonlijke benadering, met genoeg vrijheid in doen en laten.
