what A friendly owner and staff, so willing to help. We were positively suprised; what A wonderful service. View was great, food was Nice, room Was great. Thank you for THE Nice stay we have had.
Made to feel v welcome, beautiful view
The advertised pool was empty
The Zebra room gave us the utmost experience of the venue, from the view to the feel and deco. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Acra. The place is suitable for a couple reconnecting the views and tranquility are amazing. The staff is amazing please keep Hilda she made our stay special
the Cottage Room is a negleted as a result it had crawling things that nearly spoiled my trip
Stunning views and very comfortable room. Worth paying a little more for the Zebra room. Norma, the owner very welcoming
Very loud and 'pushy' barmaid. Evening meal expensive at 200 rand
Our plan was to book a 'stop-over' transit hotel after flying in from the UK. What we got was an amazing guest house with great food and the warmest of welcomes. Norma gave us such a warm welcome and ensured that, during our whole stay, we couldn't want for anything. Our room was enormous and beautifully fitted out with every possible facility and the bed was really comfortable - we both slept really well. Dinner by candle light (during a load shedding power cut) and breakfast on the deck were both brilliant and the view is breath-taking. I really can't think of a single negative thing to write - I wish I could give it more than 5 out of 5!
Loved it all.
Good food, friendliness and helpfulness of staff, lovely view
The environment, the people there and service was so excellent me and my friends really enjoy the place and we coming back. I would recommend this place to anyone.
The is nothing that we didn't like
Friendly Staff Excellent Food from preparing to presentation Homely vibe yet classy
Mountain views Friendly, welcoming staff - Holger & Norma were wonderful hosts, with Leah a hidden gem entertaining behind the bar Excellent 3 course evening meals - the description of which does not do it justice, and full breakfast Individual decor of each room
pool looked a little neglected however we are only just out of winter - might look better when we visit again in Summer
the bar lady was friendly and also the dinner was nice
The owner Holger was very hospitable and made you feel at home.
We stayed in the large, luxurious Zebra Lodge for one night on the way back from the Kruger Park to JNB. From our Veranda we have had a breathtaking overview over the valley and Holger the owner of the lodge gave us the feeling for staying with friends. Do not forget to try the dinner which is offered from Holger. It was delicious. If we will come back, we will definitely stay with them again.
Fantastic views , excellent accommodation and superb food.
Loved everything from food, bar, the room(upgrade) and especially the breakfast. The view is lovely from the hill. The host is fantastic.
Very quiet, Holgar made us feel very welcome. As we are vegetarians he made an effort to make us nice meals. Very relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in the Zebra room which is ideal for a family. Very spacious and opens out onto a lovely patio with a splendid view.
Waterfal Boven better visited after first rains when everything would have been nice and green. Also there is nothing to do in Waterfal Boven in terms of restaurants. We were lucky that Holgar accommodated for supper.
Personal approach of owner and staff Excellent room and facilities Very good food Well stocked and serviced bar Beautiful garden and view
Nice view, spoilt by a freeway and township on the left but stunning on the right
We arrived hungry and late after having car trouble, and even though the owner was in the kitchen cooking for other guests, hey told us to go elsewhere to find dinner, the suggestion was at least a 10 km drive... Worst of all we couldn't get any sleep, there is a shabeen/night club in the township just down the valley and the music was so loud and it was impossible to sleep, the music continued until 3am! We then decided to cancel our next night and the owner still charged us even though we had excellent reason to want to leave... Very poor experience overall, I cannot recommend them
The location was superb. Great views. The breakfast was of an excellent quality. Hector went out of his way to make sure we had a comfortable stay.
Excellent B&B, beautifully themed rooms, homemade dinner (on request), very friendly owners, cosy bar, splendid views. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Really nothing. This was a true delightful experience.
The staff are friendly, the host is very helpful and the breakfast was really good. The view was so refreshing and beautiful The place in general was clean and warm
The "To-do" places are a bit far out but we still enjoyed the drive
Hospitality; view; great rooms; great breakfast. Dinner was optional but in great ambiance and good quality. Nice bar
Nothing at all....
Ideal location for a stop from Johburg to Kruger. Excellent views and food!
Lovely welcome upon arrival and a most large and comfortable room. Meals were very tasty and prepared with great enthusiasm. The early, early start was no bother at all. Great view and lovely to have a nice chat.
Meals was very good. Accomodation fair
A gorgeous mountain view, the friendliest of staff and one of the best-stocked bars in the area made this a 'must return' visit...
