Wifi was very disappointing The view was not nice and the area looked a bit rough
Room was large
Location not in a touristic place, need a car to go to Waterfront A bit noisy a on one of the main street
Size of the room as big as a flat, very comfortable bed, free parking directly accessible from the hotel
The hot water was not working in my room, but staff moved me to a different unit very efficiently (and i even got a complementary cheese platter and wine).
Staff were helpful and efficient, and the rooms were well appointed and clean.
The wi-fi is really expensive and is consumed quickly...
Its quite intimate even though its in a busy part of town..The rooms are LARGE.. and super comfortable..Home away from home.Staff is quite friendly.
Noisiest hotel ever, staff appeared disinterested, restaurant menu limited
Room was spacious
Television didn’t work, staff struggled to get it sorted out with clear lack of involvement from Management. Room service were out of the things we wanted to order on a Saturday evening! I could see Checkers from the room. Pool area is scruffy. For R1700 per night I expect much more!
Nice, spacious, clean room.
Staff was friendly but not very professional. Did not know exactly what was on offer (pool closed and wrong fee for extended stay - in our advantage-). Power faillure which hampered breakfast was not caused by hotel, but no attempt was made to compensate guests. By 2015 WiFi should be included in room price.
Good location, close to city centre, Large room and very good bed. Nice bathroom with best towels ever. Parking facility for guests.
Our shower was blocked and we had to pay for WiFi. (Even though it was cheap, i find it odd that a hotel guest still needs to pay for a very bad internet connection)
All staff were friendly, helpful and professional.
The shower is made for extremely small people, and the pool deck can do with a bar.
Pool deck and view was great, breakfast was awesome and the room was huge.
1. Very noisy, unable to sleep at all. 2. TV did not work for duration of our visit. 3. Parking costs were not advised up front, a surprise on checking out. 4. Cushions on pool deck are dirty and full of holes.
Breakfasts were very good.
We kept on being bit by something, up at the pool and in the bathroom.
The clean, well decor rooms.
internet was poor.
Location was great. friendly staff
wifi was not free, had to add a code after paying each day quota which run out before fully used. Air conditioner in bedroom worked well, but, lounge room had no air conditioner and was stuffy and hot. No complimentary water left in the fridge daily for guests which should be left free in the room. Not enough information given to guest on arrival to hotel.ie. Free shuttle available to waterfront.
You have to pay for wifi, which works extremly slow. You have to pay for a cappucino during breakfast, although I booked the master suite incl. breakfast! During the 3 days the room was cleaned once.
The only good thing was the bed and the size of my luxury suite, Nr.3.2! The selection of the breakfastbuffet was alright, but never 4star!
Great staff, good hotel overal and good value.
No bad experience
Location is great
The parking was easy to use and access
When I visited, the city was hit by rolling power cuts. More expensive hotels have generators to back up the guest rooms, but less expensive hotels (like this one) may just have backup for public areas and lift. Two tealight candles were in my wardrobe, but were discovered too late. I told management that I was concerned about the safety of so many guests using candles rather than being provided with electric torches and they said they would look into it. After dark visitors can get hassle on the street outside and in all nearby streets but that is Cape Town - which after this first visit left me feeling that it could possibly be one of my top 5 favourite cities in the world.
Staff are very helpful and the rooms are spacious, tranquil & have v good aircon. I would consider using the hotel again, but would bring a torch! My top tip is to get the Uber app. I got fantastic taxi service from every Uber driver - I believe much cheaper than official taxis, and also safer cars and drivers.
I stayed there twice and the first time after a long flight, arriving on a Sunday, there was not shampoo or bath gel. Although the room was adequate it was not outstanding. The second time it felt as if I was in a different hotel as everything was in place and felt better. My criticism is on consistency! Must keep up the standards.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
We had a lovely balcony but no key to access it so it was a waste. Small but important things lightbulb out in bedside table and shower gel was empty when we arrived. The breakfast was not good please don't offer poached eggs if they come out hard all the way through.
Paid wifi, staff did not know the area well and could not give much advice
Location, cleanliness, size of room, pool on the roof, room service
House keeping Very small reception No varieties in breakfast
Location Helpful staff Near to many attraction sites Spacious rooms Comfort
Would prefer free Wifi as tapping in codes is time consuming, etc. Would suggest adding inclusive Wifi as an added bolt on and maybe they can cut it off if we do not use it after 5 minutes and we can reactivate this via selecting the place on Wifi search or something similar.
Loved everything - it was just like been at home.Thank you to all staff for going the extra miles.
The hotel has no lounge (compensated by the excellent rooms). The internet is a bit slow - and the hotel charges a minor fee for the connection.
Excellent and spacious rooms, nice balcony by the restaurant, good breakfast, kind and helpful staff
