The environment is nice,quite and friendly.The staff is very helpfull.Will definately stay there on my next visit. Linking with the city was a bit difficult the first day although the staff arranged for a cab.The staff must ensure that the cab they contract is of the same standard with them in terms of honesty because he ripped us by not giving us correct advise thareby lining his pocket.

Free Shuttle to and from Airport. Friendly and lots of help from Manager Wilkus. Free Breakfast good. Close to Airport Nice comfy beds The rooms were reasonably clean but not s showers glass was not. Rooms clean but not spotless. Noise from shower next in next room. Floors in corridor to rooms dusty. Other staff (cleaning, Kitchen etc) hard to identify.

excellent service - transfers to/from Joburg airport late at night or early morning were no problem. Very close to airport, yet a comfortable night's sleep was had followed by a hearty breakfast. We stayed here twice and both rooms were excellent. The flexible breakfast times (6-10am) were great too.

This hotel offers excellent value for someone looking for accommodation near Tambo Airport in Johannesburg. I've stayed at three different budget inns in the area and this is the best so far.

The staff was very friendly and helpfull. They picked us from from the airport, dropped us at the railway station and took us almost everywhere we wanted to go for free! The location was safe, but not easy to get away off if you don't have a car. So this was perfect!

DECOR OF AFRICAN MOON IS STUNNING. LOVED THE MODERN ART FRAMED PICTURES. ROOM VERY WELL DECORATED AND SPACIOUS. VERY RELAXING. DVD'S AVAILABLE WAS A PLUS POINT AS WELL AS THE DVD MACHINE PLACED IN ROOM. COFFEE AND TEA FACILITIES WHICH ARE AVAILABLE FOR ALL TO USE A DEFINITE BONUS. RELAXED ATMOSPHERE AT THE BAR AND BAR FACILITES AVAILABLE FOR ALL TO USE. DEFUNITE VALUE FOR MONEY. BREAKFAST FACILITIES SUPERB AS WELL AS THE BREAKFAST THAT WAS SERVED. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK ON OUR NEXT VISIT TO JOHANNESBURG. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

We arrived on a late flight, but the African Moon was nice and easy to find, we were warmly welcomed and shown to the room. The room was absolutely lovely and we immediately felt all anxiety lift and leave. The honesty bar allowed us to relax and unwind with a beer. After a good night's sleep we were then treated to a good breakfast. A short stay but enough of an impression that we will definitely return any time we have a stay in Johannesburg.

Guys running the place are very helpful, they offered lifts to/from restaurant and airport. Also, huge bathroom, with decent size bath. Our bedroom (3) opened onto a common room, which is also the way to the breakfast room, so was a little noisy in the morning, but overall not a big prob.

The layout is unique and quite lovely, with earth tones and design. Each room has a dvd player, and the lobby has a good selection of books and DVDs to use. It's quite close to OR Tambo airport, and the hotel provides a free shuttle (during business hours). The staff is really friendly and laid back. I'd definitely stay there again! It's a little noisy, in that there's a fairly constant buzzing or beeping in the rooms, and you can hear the pipes when other guests use the shower. The other essential thing to bring with you (or would be great if they provided) is a sleeping mask, as the high windows in several rooms do not have curtains, and so the light comes in really early!

We booked the place from johannesburg airport because our original place to stay for the first night fell through and we arrived not more than 30 minutes afterwards and some 5 star hotels wouldn't have been more aware of our booking. Everything was brilliant starting from the room, the bed was unbelievably cozy and i'm not saying that because we had had a long haul flight:) the self-service bar was perfect and the pool was in the sun. The dvd rack provided some entertainment for us since we couldn't walk anywhere in the evening and weren't prepared for that:)) a beautiful place:)) The kitchen staff wasn't prepared for me being a vegetarian at dinner.
