African Moon Corporate House  

We booked the place from johannesburg airport because our original place to stay for the first night fell through and we arrived not more than 30 minutes afterwards and some 5 star hotels wouldn't have been more aware of our booking. Everything was brilliant starting from the room, the bed was unbelievably cozy and i'm not saying that because we had had a long haul flight:) the self-service bar was perfect and the pool was in the sun. The dvd rack provided some entertainment for us since we couldn't walk anywhere in the evening and weren't prepared for that:)) a beautiful place:))

The kitchen staff wasn't prepared for me being a vegetarian at dinner.

The staff at the African Moon were fantastic as were the facilities. It is a great place to relax and was handy to the airport for us as we were in transit while enroute to another African country. The description of the hotel and the facilities was exactly what we'd read on the internet and were very pleased with the luxurious room and the amazing breakfast we had in the morning. The facility is in a secure area and is peaceful and relaxing. We would most certainly recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay while in Johannesburg! There is a lovely pool, pool side bar and a great lounging area for guests who do not want to just spend time in their room. We really enjoyed our brief stay here/

Parking space - bit small.

We were upgraded to an Executive room, it is fantastic with a very nice bathroom area. Also have a large variety of dvd movies to complement the satellite tv. Loved the breakfast too.

There was a little confusion in the airport pick up that they made up for the following day by dropping us to the airport in their own vehicle.

The breakfast was very good.

Having a room that allowed no privacy while bathing or using the toilet was unacceptable and not expected. Also the floor in front of the toilet/shower constructed of loose pebbles and larger stones just laid out made it impossible to walk on. It was definately not a "honeymoon suite" as it was referred to by the manager on site.

The decor of the whole place was really well done and we felt as if we were staying in a 5 star resort. Staff were very helpful and friendly by organising airport shuttles and taking us to local restaurants. Wished we could have stayed more than one night as the African Moon was very relaxing and luxurious. We stayed in room 5 which I believe has been recently furnished and we were very happy with the offering especially given the price.

Area located

a value for money service and style, best cstomer service, best breakfast, beautiful rooms and beautiful garden , close to the airport and the malls, beautiful neighbourhood. I and my Sweetheart have decided to make hotel a home away from home and will encourage freinds to come to the African Moon for relaxing and weekend breaks because it realy a best place to be.

We needed to stay the night in Jo'burg due to misaligned flight schedules. Chose African Moon because of low cost & ease of access to airport. Close, but not so close as to be under flight paths. Great staff, free shuttles to & from airport, much better facilities than we were expecting, fantastic breakfast. We were driven to a local shopping centre for dinner, & picked up after. Incredible value for money.

Overall accommodations and the helpfulness of the staff

excellent service - transfers to/from Joburg airport late at night or early morning were no problem. Very close to airport, yet a comfortable night's sleep was had followed by a hearty breakfast. We stayed here twice and both rooms were excellent. The flexible breakfast times (6-10am) were great too.
