We stayed at Albany Hotel during the Indaba period..the hotel was full, but I am happy to say that their service was still top notch. The receptionists were always friendly and always ready to help and the waitresses and chefs were always ready with a smile. I unfortunately did not get to meet the girl who cleaned our room (who by the way did a great job)...but it was wonderful to come back from a long day and be treated by all the smiles. We run a lodge in the Eastern Cape so we know what its all about and I just want to say thank you Albany Hotel for treating us and girls keep up the good work - you will be missed!

I liked that it was central to the city centre and the beaches, walking distance from the dicc. That the hotel staff esp the breakfast staff are stone-faced, seems like they are nervous when called apon. It would be appreciated if they could be friendlier. The only person that had a friendly bubbly face was the cleaning lady and the room service staff. The Indian front desk lady scares the ........out of me when peering at me over her spectacles!

The problem was their parking facility. It is too far from the hotel and there is a lot of bars between the parking facility and the hotel.

The hotel it is conveniently located in the city, nearer to shops, public transport & the harbour. It is also a walk away from the South Beach. The staff at the reception was very helpful, in terms of information regarding things like, fast food deliveries, how to get to our destination , they also called an airport shuttle to take us to the airport. the smell of a damp floor.

At the price, I was not expecting much, but was very pleasantly surprised that it was easily as good as other hotels that cost twice as much or more.

The rooms were very impressive, clean and the beds extremely comfortable, the location for our needs was great as I am scouting for accomodatioin for the sa Nipper Life Saving Champs to be held at Addington Beach in Mar 2013, where Life Saving Clubs come from all over the country and am the liason for approx 700 competitors and families. The security was great.

An excellent value for money hotel which provided a comfortable and well seviced bedroom and an extensive buffet breakfast each morning. The staff were very hospitable and friendly. Secure car park 50 yards from the hotel. Location was about one kilometre from the sea and beach.

You pay for the room for the night; people in transit are only looking for a decent place to sleep for the night before moving on to the next destination. We also left a jacket in the room when we used the hotel before we departed on a boat cruise, on our return the jacket was returned to us, this honesty has never happened before to me in South Africa, well done!!

everything was okay, but I was not happy with the fact that my credit card was charged way after I had left the hotel for something I had already paid for and am still waiting for it to be refunded.

I love the location of the hotel especially the transport cause you access it so easy and next to people movers bus stop .Is is also located next to a shopping mall. The food for room service is wow and also the service is always quick. My children loved the view of watching taxis down the street and viewing some of the infrustructure from the comfort of our hotel . We enjoyed the stay thanks to the friendly staff. We did not like the dinner buffet, the food was not child friendly nor did it taste good. Thanks

For an old hotel, it is well kept. The location is perfect if you have a lot to do in the city and at very affordable rates. The only snag is parking but hey, there is pleanty street parking and Albany Hotel security can take care of your car at nite, no problem. There is no hotel parking.
