Alpine Inn

The Alpine Inn Hotels main building is a traditional old Cape Dutch style house, nestled in the tranquil Garden Route area of South Africa.

The Alpine Inn Hotel is located directly opposite the entrance of the renowned Fancourt Golf Estate and is a comfortable sojourn catering for both the business traveller and the holidaymaker. We have private suites for Newlyweds and also family friendly accommodation.

Our beautiful Hotel Village comprises cottages, suites and apartments and also features a Tea Garden, a cozy bar and a German Restaurant. Other facilities include a Conference Centre and an exclusive Beauty Salon.

The Alpine Inn Hotel is only seven kilometers from both the George Airport and the historic town of George. It is also within easy reach of the many attractive tourist destinations on the Garden Route and the Outeniqua Country Hop (which winds up from the delightful Herolds Bay on the R404, through scenic farmlands to explore strawberry and herb farms, cheese stalls and candlemaking where adults and children alike can enjoy the great outdoors, strawberry picking, horse riding and a bird sanctuary).

There are 3 conference venues available at Alpine Inn, which can accommodate up to 45 guests.

The hotel can also cater for up to 500 guests for large social functions, including weddings and corporate events.

The beauty salon has also opened its doors and its services include the branch of Advanced Hair Studio in George.

Room information

New additions to our choice of accommodation include the environmentally friendly Garden Cottages (equipped with Solar-powered geysers) each with their own patio overlooking the newly landscaped pool area.

The main building offers a selection of rooms and there are other units spread over the premises. All units feature private parking for your convenience.

The units range from luxury suites, double and single rooms and larger family units. All open onto their own terraces, have private entrances and are fully equipped with fridge, television and DVD sound systems (allowing for IPod and USB connectivity). A selection of DVD movies are available for rental at Reception.

Travel information

By Car:
- From the N2, take the George Airport off-ramp onto the R404 passing the airport on your left and continue straight on the R404 towards Oudtshoorn.
- After 6 km, on the right-hand side, pass the factory, SAB breweries, and the Fancourt Hotel & Golf Estate.
- You will find us opposite the estate on the left-hand side.

- From the Outeniqua Pass or George city centre, follow the signs for Fancourt Hotel & Golf Estate.
- You will find us opposite the estate on the right-hand side.
