nice quiet neighbourhood, yet convenient to walk out to the shops, restaurants and waterfront.
The staff was friendly, beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean and it was near the main attractions.
Tv signal was bad and there was a lot of noise from a party at night
Location is very central, walking distance to the main road. The staff, manager and owner was very friendly, we felt welcome. The bed was very comfortable and clean.
very nice location in quiet area of greenpoint. very nice staff. great stay!
Warm welcome and pleasant management. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Clean bedroom and bathroom space. Will definitely consider on my next stay.
The place was unfortunately under renovation, therefore we experienced some noise. This will however not be the case in normal days.
The free Wifi, and the ckeanliness....
Very clean, safe and great location: you definitely get your money worth when you are travelling on a budget. Peter was also extremely helpful in booking some of our tours while we traveled around Cape Town, and made sure our stay was comfortable!
Nothing is too much trouble in altona lodge. All the people who work there are gorgeous. V warm and much fun. Made travelling alone very safe and cosy. Peter is the best! Thanks so much guys for a great stay.
The staff and owners were fantastic. The house is old and full of character. Very quiet location, it is possible to walk to the V&A waterfront, but a little bit far to return after a meal there. However, a taxi was cheap and quick. Good value for money
The hosts were very kind and helpful. Always ready to advise the best plans for my stay. The place is very calm and you can really have a good rest after your busy day in Cape Town.
Nothing to declare
Peter and Wendy have been very helpful! Great location to explore Cape Town. Safe neighbourhood and breakfast is well organized.
No DSTV in the rooms and parking is a problem
I thought the staff were very helpful. They organised all our trips and looked after us all very well during our stay. I would highly recommend people to stay here!
Great accommodations for budget travelers and great staff
It is situated in a nice part of Cape Town and the staff made us feel at home
That the stay was to short
None I enjoyed my stay
None I enjoyed my stay
Exactly what I expected. Not luxury, but clean and good rooms and bathrooms. Excellent value for money! Personal travel advice and advice for dining from Peter, the owner, was very welcome. Very friendly staff. I would definitely come back.
The lodge was 15 minutes walk from the Waterfront, clean and comfy. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
A nice accommodation in a quiet and safe area not far from the centre, in a beatiful villa with a nice garden. The rooms, toilets and lobby are all perfectly clean. The owners are very helpful. A convenience store is located nearby, supermarkets are within walking distance as well as several restaurants. Overall, a very pleasant stay there.
Staff friendliness. Good value as long as you are aware that it's like a hostel.
Too noisy, couldn't get proper sleep as walls too thin. Wasnt aware that it fell in the category of a hostel.
Peter and Wendy are absolutely delightful. Wendy drove us to the waterfront and was always helpful with tips and ideas for CT. The guest house is tucked away in a nice area of the city.
Location, staff friendliness and good facilities
We had an awesome time here. The owners are extremely nice and will give you all the information you could possibly need. Even when troubles come up (somebody bumped in our car) they do everything they can to help you. They even managed everything with our rental company so we could enjoy our day at Cape Town. During the evening they are always happy to chat a little which gives you priceless insights into life in South Africa. Thank you guys sooo much!!
The staff (Wendy & co.) are great, very kind and providing most of the necessary infos and making easy the stay; the location is very comfortable and the rooms are fine and quiet. To reach the Lodge, get a map with all the street names, as not all the maps have Croxteth St.
