Stayed for five nights in Club Exectuive which was fantastic. The staff were excellent and really helped to make the stay that much more enjoyable. They were very helpful when I was seeking advice regarding trips to make and always friendly and always smiling. They certainly made our first stay in Cape Town a very memorable experience and one that I am sure will be repeated. The hotel provided a half hourly shuttle bus both to and from the Victoria and Alfred waterfront - it was always on time and the drivers were very friendly and courteous. Couldn't fault anything at all.

The breakfast is simply the best we have ever experienced at a hotel, anywhere. Nobody offered to take our luggage or show us to our room.

The Spa was wonderful, clean and beautifully maintained. From check in to check out my experience at the Westin was disappointing, the check in staff were quite unfriendly, especially the lady at Reception on Sunday morning, spg seems like a useless rewards programme to belong to, there seems to be no advantage for being an spg member. This was our fourth visit to the Westin and we booked 2 rooms, the view was wonderful, but the room was old and dilapidated, distinctly felt like I was staying in a 3 star hotel, the furniture was scratched and scuffed, the headboard made a creaking sound every time you leaned against it, there was no turndown service on the first night, no laundry bags and limited stationary. Room service menu was disappointing. Bathroom accessories were not replaced. Tea and coffee was not replenished and we had to ask for coffee and clean towels. The gym was an absolute nightmare old aging equipment, most of which did not work. Only one working treadmill- unacceptable. Sunday morning and we were awoken by a huge racket being made by housekeeping staff at 7.45am outside our door, breakfast had a good selection of juices, but should the staff be resetting the table while you are still having breakfast? Is this a 5 star hotel? I think not. Would I stay here again? No!

We stayed on the Executive Floor, which I highly recommend. The rooms are well appointed with everything you could want and the staff was extremely attentive. There is a complimentary shuttle to the Waterfront that runs nearly every 30 minutes. We rarely needed to use our rental car.

We were on our honeymoon and on our arrival we had a lovely "congratulations" dessert waiting in our room We stayed in one of the executive club rooms which was amazing- great view and extremely confy bed and great bathroom The room also provides access to a separate area for breakfast on the 19th floor also with fantastic views. The breakfast was delicious with full a la carte menu and a buffet and we were also offered free drinks and canapés every night from 5-7pm The staff were lovely and very helpful Valet service was quick and efficient Our tv wasn't working on the first night and took a while to get fixed but otherwise no complaints

The price/quality mix was very good. It is a beautiful hotel, nice spacious rooms with a beautiful bathroom, all high quality. The gym is very good, modern machines. The staff tries to do their best: when wifi wasnt working in our room, they installed a booster. The breakfast buffet is just fabulous (even sushi or noodles), with a great selection of healthy stuff and a an amazing choise of fresh juices. Location is good, not too far from the harbour, but you cant walk there, you have to take a taxi. Taxi's are very cheap by the way, maybe 4 euro's to get to the harbour. i didn't give the staff the maximum score, only because upon arrival we were told at the reception we could upgrade to a room with 1 bed, instead of twin beds, for about 40 euro's a night extra. We however had already booked a double room! The receptionist said that double room meant double beds, so 2 beds. We have travelled a lot, but have never heard that! We showed a print of our booking confirmation, and nowhere was mentioned twin beds. We suspected they were just trying to make us pay extra, so we said as a couple we would absolutely not like sleeping in twin beds, but were not willing to pay extra since we already booked a double room, and we said she should talk to the manager. And then all of a sudden she said we would get a room with 1 big bed. Very weird.

Staff very accomodating and friendly, breakfast fantastic choice catering for all needs. Hotel spotless but lacked a little atmosphere. Ideal location for city visit with free carparking. Swimming pool too cold. Original room that was allocated had a view of the busy main road and was noisy. However this was rectified by asking fo another room.

Service was exceptional. Beds were extremely comfortable. No charge for valet parking. Felt very secure. Free shuttle to v&A. Location is great for business travel to convention center. It is in the center of the city sandwiched between the convention center and motorway. For leisure travelers, views are lacking and there is no outdoor pool.

The staff were professional, friendly and accommodating. The room design and decor was modern and well laid-out, although there were a few tacky touches. The king-size bed was very, very comfortable and we wished that our stay was a little longer. The hotel provided a shuttle bus to the Waterfront and had free wi-fi as well as internet capability in the lobby. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of juices, fruit, sushi, pastries as well as the hot choices.

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. They had free shuttle servies from hotel to v&a! The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was elaborate and scrumptious. Loved every moment of our stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone!

“Being someone with interior designing interested, i found the decor exquisite and trendy. Could not believe that in this day and age you could get such good service. 100% praise for Sam at reception... she made me and my family feel like we were old friends - For the price I paid, I have already recommended the hotel to friends and family - The location (Long Street) is great since I like a good jol now and again. Great time all round” Yolanda, Johannesburg |
