It just is not 5 star
my room and bed were very comfy
my room was not serviced until 2 pm. unacceptable
Lovely clean and modern room. Staff very helpful. Food & service in restaurant 19 (on 19th floor) was fantastic!! Easy walk to V&A.
Brekky was a little hit & miss. One morning the omelettes were delicious and next, not nice at all.
The proximity to the conference center.
Sometimes too much noise in the smoking lounge.
everything is perfect in this hotel from the service and location till the rooms, staff and food!

Serenity treatment at Spa was exceptional - also very good value for money; dinner at Executive club was wonderful - amazing views; great buffet breakfast.
Have to pay for parking; Struggled to get Spa's phone number; Getting charged for mini-bar items if removed for 30 seconds (was still reading labels)
Good room size all the facilities available good location for short business trip breakfast was good overall service was good
some of the furniture past its best, unfortunately contemporary style shows wear, tear and stains too easily colour scheme bit garish? not my taste. atmosphere in the Louis GF bar too stiff.
Rooms well appointed. Dining - especially breakfast - availability and service
Numerous problems with keying for room and access to convention center.
Location very good Restaurant staff very good and friendly
Spa facilities disappointing, spa reception staff not very friendly or welcoming
The service, the facilities, the room, the attitude from the personell, Everything was first class.
A bit expensive, but Worth the money
Concierge staff, Amanda is a star Breakfast scrimptious
My booking was not correct. Booked for two however only one was accommodated. Had to explain myself over and over until Amanda stepped in
The staff at the restaurant were great, especially the breakfast team on Saturday
Not having the coffee station filled up in our room, had to phone for milk on Sunday morning as there was none.
Shuttle service Helpfull frontdesk Travel desk Breakfast
No dental or shaving kit or comb in bathroom No shoeshine No space in fridge for personal stuff
The hotel was nice and very clean. Breakfast was excellent!!!
Wifi was frustrating..times out every 5mins. Pls sort this out, not a good idea.
Staff friendly, nice and plentyful breakfast
Minibar empty/ not working, longe under 'refurbishment', cashier machines at the parking not working, service standards seem to go down compared to previous visits
Top floor pool and sauna/steam room
I liked the care taken to make the place feel more comfortable.
Everything especially Halal food Location shuttle bus
LOCATION, COULD EASILY WALK TO THE JAZZ
ITS NOT FOR THE LEISURE TRAVEL. VERY BUSINESS-LIKE AND SOLID. NOT A RELAXED ATMOSPHERE.
We really liked the location - easy to get in and out by car, close to the Red & Blue Line tour buses and an easy walk to the V&A Harbor. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The young man at Guest Services took care of getting us booked for the Table Mountain Cable Car and for the Hop-on/Hop-off Red and Blue line tour buses. We also booked a day-long personal tour through the Concierge desk. We were very happy with all of these arrangements! Housekeeping did a great job. We took breakfasts and most dinners in the hotel and were very happy with the menus and service.
When ordering coffee at the buffet breakfast, I would love to be given a small pot rather than have to look for a refill from a server, who were pretty busy.
Club floor excellent
Wi fi didn't always work
The location was beautiful, of course, with a view of the V&A Waterfront from my room. The room itself was huge with loads of space to spread everything around. This is useful for someone like me, who definitely does not pack lightly! I thought the use of sensors in the minibar was really clever (if something is removed and not replaced after 30 seconds, it wll automatically be charged to your room). And there was a coffee machine! Pure indulgence. Breakfast was absolutely amazing (we had access to the Executive Club on the 19th floor) with a really great selection for both health nuts (like me) and those who like to indulge. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and that one phone call to enquire how we liked our stay so far really made us feel welcome. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back again!
I booked a stay in the Westin Workout room, which cost me an additional R300 per night. It's supposed to contain all the amenities and features of the Grand Deluxe Room but comes with a treadmill/exercise bike, weights, mat, etc. However, once we arrived in our room, it was completely empty. No bike or treadmill, no exercise mat. Nothing. Naturally, I phoned their express service and was informed that the previous person who stayed there had asked for the equipment to be removed. They had forgotten to put it all back. This was annoying but okay. I had come prepared (exercise dvd's). We organised that they would deliver the equipment at around 8 o'clock while we were at breakfast. We arrived back in our room at around 9 o'clock. Once again empty. We didn't have time to phone again and just left. Once we got back at 5 that afternoon, the bike had finally been delivered. But nothing else! They promised exercise DVD's, weights, books, mat etc. This is not the type of service I would expect of a hotel like the Westin. There's no point in being all helpful over the phone, but then not delivering. That's R600 wasted. That definitely made my stay less enjoyable.
I loved the breakfast bufett with big varaity of fresh juices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom tiles can be heated cool thing, made the bathroom very enjoyable esp after a day in the cold water
The swimming pool which is in the spa is not allowed for kids minor than 12
