From you staff through your rooms everything was excellent. Very professional.

I stay in room 15 very noise music When I checkout I ask reception about the noise and they told me about the boxingckub nextdoor. That was uncomfortable.

Convenient easy access to city

Bathroom, no 24 hour check out, limited toiletries

The parking garage is way too small, too small to get a car out of wothout scraping it. So as one can imagine, my car was scraped in the front right corner while exiting the incredibly small/narrow garage. I was not pleased in the slightest. Very upsetting. I will not be staying at this hotel ever again.

VERY NOISY ! Avoid this hotel if you want to rest. I stayed for four days. went to JNB for business.There are engines and pump running during the night. There is a gym in the first floor with loud music from 6am to 7pm. I complain but the next day it was the same. On Thursday the Ethiopian restaurant in front of the hotel was noisy until 2am !!! No sound proof windows. Breakfast is included but only cafe espresso and tea. If you one a cafe latte & Coke NOT INCLUDED !! It is a pity because the refurbishment and staff were very nice. We had dinner twice and was excellent. The chef might be the best of the hotel! A one more thing PARKING is very NARROW. Do not come with a big car otherwise you would be obligated to park the car on the street.

I liked the Ascot very much. It is a little gem in the heart of Norwood. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good. In fact for a Jo'burger, who now lives in England, this venue was ideal. I hope it goes from strength to strength. It deserves many praises and plaudits.

I think that it wants to be too many things to different people. When music is loud it drives the more conservative and elderly clients into their rooms and away from the very pleasant restaurant and lounge area. And perhaps the design of the hanging cupboards could be improved with more hangers. We found only 2 hangers for all our clothes.

There is no Parking Facilities, I damaged my vehicle in their underground parking facility which is used by none of the hotel residents

From the moment we set foot, we were pampered. The service was excellent. The staff very professional and friendly. Enjoyed a home away from home.

Parking outside- not comfortable We were ready at 7am on dot for breakfast, but service was slow, only if that can be improved.

Servers were very friendly, Shawn was very helpful and trustworthly but we needed cash to pay him to drive us to sites, it would have been helpful to have been able to charge his fee to the room. Spa was delightful, but there credit card machine wasn't working and caused a cashflow problem.

Very loud at night. Transportation was difficult.

The one night we stayed over the hot water in the shower was poor. At best it was lukewarm. We experienced the same the following morning.

A very good hotel in a populated area with lot of Restaurants

I chosen the hotel because it was close to the boat show. but unfortunately, the neighbour hood was very loud.

Breakfast is very small, far from central area

The restaurant is too small and gets crowded at times with no sit down space. May not be convenient if you are travelling with kids

Location is an issue as most business I do is far from there. Also, Norwood is not a good area anymore. These are the only two reasons that at times make me not stay at the hotel.

The renovations were really good and the night was vibey.

Secure parking was too small for my car and I had to park off the street.

The Hotel was well presented with excellent facilities, location and in particular all staff were very friendly, polite, courteous and helpful. The location for myself was considered to be a lucky guess and ended up beig perfect for my purpose. Please compliment the Hotel Stafff and convey my thanks.

Parking facility - very narrow to get into and out. Also have to walk back to the street to get to entrance of hotel.
