The price was what we had budgeted.
The on suite bathroom was not the cleanest. The bathrooms doors (yes... Doors) looked like you would walk into a kitchen cupboard. The would not go all the way down to the floor. This is not really private. We could here people walking in the corridor.
The chef was friendly
Night staff and day manager unproffesional. Parking as advertised was blocked by big truck of one of the residents. No parking for rest of guests. When asked about this manager just said truck had priority so 6 cars denied access to parking bay. Not recommended for any one expecting some service and hospitality or in need of sleep.
The groceries that we bOught were not safe, anyone can poison yOur food if they wanted to because there wer no lockers in the fridge and our food was stolen
Wi-fi signal would benifet with it being stronger, sound proofing in rooms maybe ?
*The information provided at check-in *The clean and comfortable room *The clean and hot shower *Clean toilet *Friendly staff *Great breakfast *Great location. Close to Sea Point and Green Point
*Not being assisted to carry my very heavy luggage when checking in. *Being told 12 hours later that I had not paid for breakfast when I had paid.
We were a group of four females who over the course of our time in South Africa stayed here 3 times. First for two night, then back for 2 nights and then again at the end of our trip for 3 nights. We had a lovely big room with a safe, sink and a shared bathroom. towels were provided and the bathroom, kitchen and reception area were always clean and well organised. the wifi connection was excellent and worked in all areas of the hostel. A breakfast menu is available with a variety of hot and cold options at very good prices. Plently of facilities to cook also and lots of ware/pots etc avaiable. The location was good, in a safe part of Capetown with the supermarket and restaurants 5 minute walk away. The waterfront is about 30 minutes walk or the staff will order a taxi for 40rand. The staff are were friendly and helpful, Rene, a local is very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful and Nick is always ready to help carry the bags. When we came back after our trip on the garden route they welcomed us back and made us feel at home. We all really enjoyed our time there and I highly recommend the place
Everyone was polite and helpful. Environment was clean and serene. Location was nice
Wifi was inconsistent. Insufficient sockets in dorms to charge phones. Timed laundry services.
Loved the place. Friendly staff. Clean! Definitly going back.
Very clean and comfortable More like a guest house than a hostel
The place was clean and safe and an unexpected surprise:-) very happy
1. Available kitchen. 2. Nice & quiet
1. The kitchen mess. 2. The parking. 3. TV stations available.
Value for money.
Shared facilities including bathrooms.
I liked the hospitality and the people at the reception were very kind.
I didn't like the fact of having the room clothes changed only after 3 days. The bathroom main door seem to have problems.
Very helpful staff and very clean bathroom and toilet area. Also walking distance from the beach.
Poor wifi connection.
It is conveniently situated and very welcoming.
Good location. Clean, roomy kitchen, well-stocked with dishes, pots/pans, etc.
Too few and inconvenient outlets to recharge electronic devices.
Youth lodge but still very clean.
It was hot and maybe they should add a fan as the one that was there was very slow.
location fab single room good for price ,
One of the staff very helpful but the second guy no help and lake off info
It was really great to stay there. The staff and other travellers are very friendly! It was like a family...Im looking forward to go there again.
I liked the manager who went an extra mile to assist me especially on how to commute to town using My City bus. I liked his public relation, the Ashanti manager gained some brownie point from me.
I found myself in a morass situation because the kind of food I got at Cape town was a bit different from the one I am acquainted. The hot weather was another thing I disliked - profuse sweating oh my!
Double room was very clean and bed comfortable, staff very friendly. Bathrooms were good.
Shared kitchen was out of control - toaster didn't work properly, pretty dirty. It was busy period though, but other hostels do better.
i liked it was very nice
the shared bathroom i didnt like
Safes in the room cages under the bed to lock your luggage tap in the room pool
Staff was often slow
Enough sitting areas and facilities in the kitchen.
Outside toilet and bathroom .
