Lovely decor. Extremely tasteful and peaceful. So many nice touches - fresh flowers, chocolate, fresh fruit, complimentary sherry, lovely patio, manicured grounds. Breakfast was delicious. It is isolated - which can be good or bad. No phone in the room. Wi-fi is not complimentary. It is in an extremely rich neighborhood, with high security, which can make a person uncomfortable as the legacy of apartheid seems to hang in the air. This is more like a high-end guest house than a 'bed-and-breakfast.'

Comfortable, with a subtle luxury and attention to detail that allows for a great stay. Spacious and wonderfully clean accommodation, with top quality linen and thoughtful extra touches and great breakfasts! Would definitely stay there again and would recommend.

Ashdown House is een schoon en kleinschalig hotel. We vonden het er erg prettig. Na een lange vliegreis is het een goede plek om bij te komen, even te slapen en daarna Johannesburg te verkennen. Aanrader!

Het personeel, de service is excellent! Mooie ruime kamer met aparte zithoek. Prachtige badkamer met bad op pootjes, aparte douche en dubbele wastafel.Openslaande deuren naar tuin, eigen terras. Comfortabel bed, gratis kluis en WIFI. Goede, veilige buurt welke wordt afgeschermd door beveiliging (moet door slagbomen). Daarnaast is het hotel zelf ook dubbel omheind. Binnen prachtige tuin met zwembad. Lekker ontbijt. Men (Sue) maakt het hier persoonlijk en weten net dat beetje extra te geven. Zo tevreden dat we ook de laatste nacht van onze vakantie hier hebben geboekt. Uitgebreide keuze in ontbijt. Heerlijk! alles was perfect

O atendimento é incrivel. Todos os funcionarios são excepcionais na atenção. A limpeza e os detalhes da house são minuciosos. A unica questão é que se morre num taxi carissimo pois ela fica distante de qualquer centro comercial. A distancia e isolamento. Diferente do que tinha imaginado pelas informações do site.

De service was geweldig! Wat een verstopt pareltje! Heerlijke plek in het groen om even bij te komen van of een lange vlucht of een vermoeide reis. Kamers kijken uit op tuin & zwembad, hebben een eigen terras & je merkt niets vd stad om je heen. Niets! Het was top!

Zeer goede start van onze huwelijksreis en hier was door het personeel ook rekening mee gehouden bij onze aankomst. Erg mooie suite en luxe en schoon ingericht. Aanrader voor een verblijf in Johannesburg, ook omdat het in een veilige buurt gelegen is.
