Friendliest, kindest staff
no sea view
The Atlantic Affair Boutique Hotel surpassed all expectation - elegant, comfortable, well-appointed and spacious room with sumptuous bed and functional kitchen - in a quiet yet centrally positioned location a short walk to the Sea Point beach and town center. Table Mountain and V&A Waterfront both short taxi rides away. Don't miss fabulous coffee (and food!) at the Bootlegger Coffee Company right down the street. My three night stay was way too brief - if I am lucky enough to return to Cape Town I will not hesitate to go back to this lovely hotel.
Nothing - this was one of the best hotel finds ever!
We loved the modern look of Atlantic Affair. Although the bathroom was quite small we will definitely recommend the apartment. The bed was comfortable and the linen of high quality. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
The first night of our arrival the noise coming from the building next door was very annoying. Noise does not usually worry me, but this was so bad that it needs mentioning.
Clean good welcoming Great location Privet parking
Nothing to compline maybe We take a ground room without a view (with good price of course)
The tap in the basin is totally impractical - one cannot even wash ones' hands as there is no space between tap and basin. Should be replaced.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would stay here any time. Very nice place and convenient.
I liked it all.
We stayed in one of the penthouse apartments, that has a small living room (very cool decorated in 70ish stye) and kitchen area. The bedroom is lovely and the bathroom very bright and pretty large. The apartment is located in Sea Point, an area that is save, quite and close to the beach. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. We felt at home here and hope to visit again.
The only problem about it being in Sea Point is that it's not really walking distance to the Waterfront (takes 45-60 minutes by foot). But on the other hand, at night you should take a cab anyway, since Cape Town is not safe after dark. Cabs are not that expensive, so it was ok.
I was happy with everything except the milk x 2.
The fact that the milk for the coffee downstairs was a Checkers No Name brand was a bit on the cheap side. Also the "milk" in the room was awful and had lots of bits floating on the coffee.
The location was ideal as a base for Table Mountain, CT centre, and other local area's. Sandra was brilliant, very helpful and her local knowledge and tips were invaluable.Several decent places on the doorstep for breakfast etc.
Views could have been better but what do expect in a city.
Comfortable, modern rooms Central location - shops and restaurants within walking distance Great location for running on the sea point promenade Small kitchenette allows for preparation of small meals and snacks
Had a wonderful stay. Safe parking a bonus. Lovely room and beautiful finishes.
All great - location was terrific and only 10 min drive to major shops. Natasha was very helpful - bonus was having Bootlegger Coffee shop 50 metres away which served great breakfast and coffee. Plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding area.
the ground floor room was very noisy as it was located right next to the driveway
It is nice and central for getting around Cape town. Rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable.
The exterior of the building is low key, but once you're inside it makes up for it. No views from the balcony.
Modern and well located hotel, great value for money, a friendly, helpful and unique very professional reception staff who known promptly and in a exemplary way to solve a misfortune occurred that show how serious is the hotel that I do recommend for business stay or leasure.
Slow internet. Practically dial-up connection slow. Skype calling was virtually impossible. And there is no view of the ocean from any of the rooms.
noisy on ground level parking
We were upgraded to the penthouse (reasons unclear). This allowed us a partial view of the sea with a lovely balcony. Huge king size bed. Nice kitchen facilities. Location near the promenade.
The location is great if you travel by car. However, walking at night in Sea Point was not a comfortable experience due to some vagrants. Day time walking no problem.
- the room was clean and comfortable; - high WIFI connection; - all the facilities (restaurants, shopping and entertainment) were near; - Natasha was very helpful in terms of activities planning
Atlantic Affair Boutique Hotel is head and shoulders above any other hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are very helpful, the rooms are beautifully decorated with every amenity that you can imagine (even an iron) and there are plenty of plugs for cell phone chargers, hair straighteners and blowdryers. I felt truly at home.
Sleek and convenient place to stay with friendly/helpful staff. Cute, practical room size with a mini balcony. Beach front was walking distance as well as little eateries along the way. Perfect value for money!
The suite was comfortable, luxurious, and the finishes were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free wifi and parking in the building. I recommend Atlantic Affair for either business or holidays.
- location - cleaness - feeling like a family - hospitality - safety - kindness of hotel manager, Natasha.
Suite was spacious and comfortable Staff response to complaint
