The location was great and seemed to be a safe area. There are many restaurants within a few minute walk and the waterfront is less than 10 min walk away. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable when advising on the best places to visit.
Staff is good, very friendly. Good Breakfast. Good Bar & open balcony to rest. Play room with Pool & TT (Ping pong ball)
Dorm Rooms - Not much spacious. Mosquitos. I have been bite by mosquito one night. Milk served with breakfast is not good sometime, but you can ask for another.
I love the enviroment, the friendliness, the common areas were great, the services in general were really good (kitchen, living room, terrace, bar) and my room was nice (dorm), the staff is so friendly and helpful
getting up to my bed wasn´t so comfortable, you had to be agile... there was no soap to wash your hands
The staff was very nice and helpful. A phone was available with a direct line to the taxi service company which was very convenient. The room was comfy and clean with a nice bathroom. We only stayed for one night and didn't have time to enjoy the bar area but it definitely looked like a lot of fun. We discovered a very nice burger restaurant just down the road (the Hudson's), we could walk back to the backpackers safely from there. We highly recommend this backpackers.
Male and Female live in the same room
I liked the general atmosphere of AP. The cordiality and friendliness of the staff impressed me although there was some hiccups while they were dealing with my reservation.Never worry guys, I will come back to stay again.
I didn't get reply to some of my mails.
A jalous lady woke up several times during the night the whole hostel by knocking heavily on her and other room doors and shouted loudly on her partner. Nobody of the staff came to calm the situation.
-The location was ideal and close to everything. -You can come and go as you like. -Staff was friendly. -Atmosphere was relaxed and fun.
-The bathroom is shared by all.
- very clean - modern and stylish furniture - high safety - friendly staff - I felt very comfortable in this hostel and I would definitely recommand it!!
- the bereakfast was simple, but everything else perfect :)
The staff was pleasant and totally helpful. Complimentary secure (a major plus) parking area. Nicely decorated room, bright with a very large comfortable bed. If your looking to be close to the V & A, away from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town's downtown then this is the place to be.
The WiFi is poor, and when you can get a signal count yourself as lucky! Private rooms are below the main reception and therefore you hear everything, like living below a dance school. Breakfast is your typical "basic hostel fare".
Really nice staff! Very comfy beds.
WI-FI was super-slow (unusable). I find that other rooms were nicer than mine (I stayed in room Forest)
Everything was just Ok. I guess it's good if you are looking for hostel
WiFi didn't work for several days
was clean, and somewhat helpful. Breakfast was ok but not on time
Terrible Wi-Fi connection, loud even though we were in the newer building. breakfast wasn't on time. the food came at 8:30 because the staff were late or something
I booked this venue two months ago & was due to arrive on the 14th. Unfortunately due to work circumstances i had to cancel my booking 2 days before my arrival. Even though it was a short cancellation period the owner came back to me almost immediately from the time i sent my cancellation email and refunded my full amount paid on the same day. Although i have not had the pleasure of staying at Atlantic Point yet I have been wow'ed non stop by the friendliness and helpful staff & the courteous manner in which every query was handled. I am looking forward to staying with this establishment so much on my visit to Cape Town in the future because of this & will recommend it to anyone.
Nothing, everything was perfect!
We absolutely loved our big spacious bedroom and en suite bathroom-felt like a hotel. Biggest room we have had at a backpackers. Also loved the pancakes in the morning and that there was a variety of things to eat. My fiance would have liked a bit of bacon ha ha (meat lover)
Nothing to complain about.
I m travelling all around the world, and in this place i found a family spirit...the team is always helpfull and wellcoming, and the backpacker is well located. A great spot to have a break time and relax! Ps: Try the famous braii each wednesday,it s a good way to know everyone and it s gorgeous! ;)
Location, For a backpackers place nice and quiet, Private parkingin the garden, Friendly and helpful staff.
The variety of the breakfest Poor wifi
The atmosphere, people and was very comfortable.
I felt let down when the message regarding pick up time for cage diving was not passed on to me despite asking 3 times if anyone had left a message for me. I almost meant I couldn't do diving. Also when I tried to solve this problem one member of staff was on the phone for around 20mins sorting out a personal problem she had.
Location, location, location.
No hangers in the wardrobe.
I had a great time staying at Atlantic Backpackers. Such a great way to meet people to do those adventurous activities with, especially when traveling alone like I was. - I liked how personable the receptionists were. They were fun, friendly and good at their job too. - It was mostly clean. - I loved the nightly hostel activities especially Braai night. They don't do it like that in Australia. Thanks to everyone, I'll recommend you to all my traveller friends. Ausies love Cape Town.
- I didn't like the mouldy toilet & shower I had to use, could be toxic judging from the smell. - Wi-Fi was on & off.
Everything, especially the atmosphere ! Perfect place to stay, clean and nice and you make really good friends there !
great beds, wonderful sheets, nice dorm, very homy hostel, well equipped kitchen, spacious, clean. Good, simple (free) breakfast. The guys at the reception very helpful! I'd definately recommend this hostel!
wifi not working all the time
Good location, basic but clean room, comfortable beds. Good value for money.
The 4 person dorm is nice, some of the staff sind nice.Enough livingspace.
The 4 person dorm is a bit expensive, and there is only one shower.
