Friendly guests and staff. Fantastic brain thank you.
Views of mountains
Very difficult to find down dirt roads via township The restaurant was closed & the substitute "luxury" picnic poor & expensive.
Relaxed beautiful old property. Food is wonderful - be sure to eat dinner there.
Nothing, never experienced anything so bad
The room, beds, no telephone for emergencies, no television, no bath, it was like a prison cell, not one single drawer to put any clothes.
excellent chef and resterant
Time stands still at this carefully preserved estate. Relaxation is so easy in this setting of gardens & the beautiful pool area. An extra delight is Morna, the chef, & her delicious & beautifully presented food.
The picnic in the evening was absolutely superb.
The Booking.com site stated that the Hen House, where we stayed, had a bath and cable TV. It had neither! It was not a problem for us but will be for fussier travellers. Please correct this on your site.
We arrived rather late in the afternoon and were welcomed by Marna with a basket of food that was so beautifully arranged that it was almost like eating a painting or a piece of art! Our room was like a dream and we immediately fell in love with the whole place. The next day we met Laetitia who turned out to be the perfect host. She told us the fascinating history of Augusta Kleinbosch and also gave us a lot of useful information about places to see and scenic roads to drive. Finally the restaurant! Outstanding!
We've spent three nights at Augusta Kleinbosch and it was great time. The farm is located in a lovely garden, rooms are huge, tastefully arranged and well equipped. We really enjoyed food we were served - both dinners and buffet breakfasts. Not to mention very helpful staff. Ask them for recomendations - all the restaurants and vineyards Laetitia recommended us were great. And don't be missed by the fact that Augusta is located a bit off the main track - it's really worth spending 10 minutes more to get there!
We stayed here for only two nights (pity). We had the honeymoon - suite which was just a show. Huge room with an enormous bathroom. We had a picnic basket for the evening with a bottle of wine in it. This was just fantastic food and we enjoyed it immensely. Love to come again.
Everything was PERFECT - Very nice welcoming from Laetitia - Crazy place at the sunset in the orchards by the lake and with the view on the mountains above. - Very beautiful room - Pool and garden are deeply enjoyable - The chief was amazing, we had a wonderful diner (you really should eat there, the menu is made with local and fresh food and wine, really good value for money) - One of the best hotel/BB i've ever been
Everything was perfect and crazy beautiful !
This pearl in Paarl is worth a visit. Of all our stops in South Africa this was the best. We practically had the place for ourselves and the staff was wonderful. Wonderful garden and spacious rooms.
Ideal for children, very helpful and attentive staff
Historic value of the buildings and its location to visit Paarl, Stellenbosch and the countryside.
The architecture of the Cape Dutch buildings is amazing: we had no air conditioning in the room (in Feb!), but the thatch+fan took care of temperature control! The staff is very friendly and engaging.
The domaine is amazing - the farm, the settings, the fields, the mountains. Very good restaurant, do have dinner with them!
I normally prefer fresh air in my room to aircon. Due to energy consciousness, my guess, there isn't any installed and they get super hot - so worth them looking for an alternative cooling system. It's a bit hard to reach, and without a car you can't really move around.
Very friendly staff, lovely location and beautiful room and surroundings. Excellent food the breakfast was superb.
No air conditioning in the luxury room that we had. There was a problem with ants in the bedroom and bathroom but we dealt with them ourselves.
I simply enjoyed the whole ambiance and the lovely surroundings, the total absence of TV and the willingness to please, which radiated from all the staff. Francois's knowledge of the area is astounding! I loved every relaxed minute I spent there.
