“ Everything - Morag and Gordan are the most fantastic, hospitable and accomodating people that you could ever hope to find. They made sure that I had everything that I could possible need and more - it was better than staying with family, indeed they made you feel like family.Talk about "going the extra mile" - they did that and more. With free Wi-Fi, a seasonal outdoor pool and barbecue area, Babbling Brook B&B is 5.5 km from the centre of Pietermaritzburg. Breakfast can be taken in the homely room or on the patio overlooking the garden. Located at the bottom of the garden, all air-conditioned rooms have an en-suite bathroom. Provided with luxury linen, they feature satellite TV and tea/coffee facilities. Some rooms also have a kitchenette for self catering. Everything, especially the attention to detail - in the setting, the unit, the decor and the meals. Nothing, except that it was a fair way out of Pietermaritzburg. This was not a major problem, for our contacts were on that side of town.

Gordon and Morag (the owners) are very nice people, eager to share all good tips they have. This was great experience for us. The breakfast was amazing. Morag even offered a small souvenir from the Bed&Breakfast so we will not forget this experience. Not that much option to have diner in the area.

I was made to feel very welcome. My room was well equipped, with a large desk and kitchenette and was tastefully furnished. The free wifi had a good signal. Breakfast was good. Overall, a place of peace, comfort and care all at a good price. Would recommend to business or leisure traveller. Nothing - just be prepared that this is a B&B so expect to eat out or bring in something to warm in the microwave.

Ontzettend vriendelijke mensen die verder gaan dan alleen een guesthouse runnen. Ze genieten er zichtbaar van dat er gasten zijn en doen er alles aan om je verblijf in Pietermaritzburg, ondanks de tegenvallende stad, zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken! Prachtige ruime kamers en een rustige buurt een stukje uit de stad.

Wir haben bei unserer Übernachtung im Nebengebäude unterhalb vom Hauptgebäude geschlafen. Gemütliches Zimmer mit sehr großem und bequemen Bett. Was das Zimmer besonders macht, dass die Dusche erhöht mit im Raum ist. Das Grundstück und die Zimmer sind sehr liebvoll und detailreich eingerichtet. Geparkt wird vor den Appartments auf dem Grundstück. Frühstück einfach, aber ausreichend und gut. Restaurants sind 15 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. (Bei Quincy's gabs das beste Steak unseres Urlaubs) Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder dort schlafen. Kleiner Tipp: Wir waren froh, das wir ein Navi hatten. Ohne könnte es etwas schwierig zu finden sein. Vielen Dank noch mal Gorden und Morag für die 2 schönen Tage.
