Score from 6 reviews Wonderful
I was there for two nights after a lengthy bus trip and before doing a 600km run. Just needed to rest and really appreciated the quietness and no disturbances. Wonderful place, thank you.
I was greeted by a staff member at the gate, who had the keys ready and showed me to the room without further ado. The rooms were lit and welcoming. I loved the comfy couch and the beautiful wooden floors.
I could not find the place easily - a name-board would be nice. The parking space was a bit tight.
Lovely room after a looong drive. Enjoyed the privacy of the patio and the security of the parking. A friendly home away from home - I will be back. .
Very friendly, efficient service.
A delightful setting in one of the original buildings in a very historic Grahamstown. Tastefully decorated with everything one could need and well heated.
Nice accommodation in a good location, very handy and easily walkable to Rhodes University, High Street shops (Checkers supermarket) and the Peppergrove shopping centre (Pick and Pay supermarket). It was great to be able to self-cater - almost everything you need was included in the kitchen. Very pleasant housekeeping staff. There is a lovely little outside area which is great for breakfast in the mornings or coffee in the afternoon. Comfy bed, too.
There was no salt and pepper or corkscrew in the kitchen. These are fundamentals that should be included with any accommodation advertised as self-catering, and it was annoying to have to go out and buy these myself when I discovered their absence just as I was about to make dinner shortly after arriving. It would also be helpful to have an electric blanket or extra bedding available in the bedroom - it was starting to get distinctly chilly when I stayed there.
We really had a nice time there, and the staff were very nice. As a self catering its really good price. We really felt like home there, the kitchen is fully equipped.
The wifi is only accessible near the office in the garden.
Full apartment like unit. Excellent security and own gate remote for easy entry exit.
Parking off street is a bit limited and difficult but at least rental car could be parked off the street.
Pleasant and very private - quaint yet comfortable and homely.
The parking was challenging. When the one guest arrived we had to move cars in order to create accessibility and convenience.
It was very nice. Clean and homely.
You had a whole apartment, value for money was excellent.
Parking was a bit awkward
Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Value for your money.
Trying to find the place with no street names in Grahamstown!
Loved the feel of the place. Epitomizes old Grahamstown. Well situated and beautifully equipped.
Don't be put off by outside appearance - it opens into a lovely area. Can't fault anything.
Beautiful decor, clean loved the authenticity of the old building!
The water pressure is quite low, but knowing it is an old building!
This was a lovely place to stay. The apartments were decorated beautifully and provided for all of our self-catering needs. It would be a perfect place to stay if you need to be in Grahamstown for an extended stay.
We were only passing through for one night during Christmas holidays. There didn't seem to be much to do in Grahamstown.
Ambiance, coziness, courtyard, easily accessible from main road (short stay while on a road trip)
Newly renovated and comfortable with all the mod cons. It suited us perfectly for an overnight nest but would be perfectly comfortable for longer stays also.
the room is amazingly beautiful. all the comforts of home! excellent breakfast great staff
all was soo good. will recommend this to others wholeheartedly
Gorgeous private garden area, clean neat and well appointed room
I liked the fact that the rooms were clean and had a homely feel. All the amenities I required were provided for.
The ambient noise from traffic was a bit of a nuisance
Loved the friendliness and flexibility of the management and staff. The place felt like "home away from home"!
Comfortable and clean accommodation, pleasant staff. Fairly close to the centre of the village.
Bit of a mix up with the payment. Ultimately sorted out but perhaps B-L need to be a little more careful/communicative
Amazing, I felt like transported to beautiful English cottage with all the comfort of modern house.
