The view, staff & owners are what make this a great spot to enjoy Cape Town. Hans & Anna-Marie take such good care of their guests. My friend and I enjoyed the beautiful views and the location in Camps Bay- great location for the beach nearby and many tasty restaurants. Don't hesitate in staying at this gem.
The Location was beautiful with views across the Ocean and the backdrop of the mountains. We would start the day with an excellent breakfast and looked after wonderfully by the owners Hans and Anna Marie who were always on hand to give advice on where to go and how to get there. Anna Marie also introduced us to the bus system which was cheap and easy to use for getting about. All in all a most enjoyable experience for our first time in Cape Town. We could not have chosen better and are already planning a return trip.
Location was perfect, just a 15 minute walk to shops and restaurants in Camp's Bay. Though having a car was nice as the walk back is uphill. The guesthouse is a short drive from Cape Town. Located in a very nice area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The staff were terrific. The included breakfast was delicious. Room was comfortable and ocean view was amazing. This was an excellent value and I would certainly stay here again.
Wi-fi was a bit off at times but not a big deal.
location above Camps Bay is stunning, with views of Atlantic, Lions Head and Western edge of Table Mountain. Hans & Anna-marie and their staff are great hosts with a lovely personal touch. A place of peace, relaxation in a setting of stunning beauty. Spacious comfortable room with kitchenette.
nothing - no criticisms.
Annamarie & Hans are excellent host and provided us with lots of recommendations of things to do and places to see in Cape Town and surrounding area. It had beautiful views of the ocean and is great location for restaurants and shopping.
The only negative was the wifi connection in the room. It was a little slow and sometimes could connect if weather conditions were not good.
The friendliness of the staff. The quality of the breakfast was great.
The fact that we both worked on Friday, had to leave at 7am and breakfast was only served from 8:15am. No continental (yogurt) nor self-service was offered. We were told that these are the breakfast hours and not flexible at all. One bottle of body wash and shampoo was supplied for 3 days for two adults When questioned I was told that the toiletries are not replenished - traveller's please note as the website states toiletries provided (don't assume they will be replenished daily). Coffee and tea was not replenished either during the 3 nights' stay. The extension cord is switched on in the laundry in the house - this was switched off for the 3 days so the kettle was boilt in the room and no micro facilities were available.
We loved the friendly helpful nature of our hosts. The location and space of the acccommodation. Will definately see u both again Jan and Ann-Marie.
good value for money
the venue is great, the view from the garden and pool is breathtaking at sunset. Staff is very friendly and helpful and breakfast is delicious
if anything at all, maybe the fact there isn't much around in terms of restaurants, so one has to walk to campsbay beach which is only 15 min walk anyway.
Really great hosts...Both Hans & Annemarie really looked after us. Really making the Camps Bay experience a fantastic one. Thanks again. Carl
This lovely guesthouse in the most wonderful part of Camps Bay, right on top of the hill with stunning views of the ocean and the mountains is THE place to go when in Cape town......if you are not too fond of hiring a car(and driving on the left side) there's a busstop right down the lovely road in the middle of the most beautiful villas....the citybusses take you to Camps Bay (in two minutes, but you can easily walk down the hill, taxis are veeeeery cheap) and to the centre and the Waterfront.(between 20 and fourty minutes depending on the time of the day)...there's also a grocery store opened until nine pm 2 minutes walk from the guesthouse for those who love to have dinner on the terrace with a heartbreaking view on Table mountain. Anne Marie and Hans are the owners of this 4-star- guesthouse, their commitment is a 100 percent......they treat you like a very special friend. Anne Marie is like an angel from the skies and Hans has a wonderful sense of humour. He sometimes wears very stylish orange sunnglasses! If you go to Cape Town and you don't stay there you are a fool........(and no medication will ever heal you) They have three lovely girls who look all like models, they are elegantly dressed in white linnen and serve breakfast and clean the rooms.....There are only few rooms so you have the feeling of living in a private villa...it's delicious to jump into the pool and stare at Table mountain..... We hope so much being able to go back soon as this place is addictive!!!!!!!!
We loved everythinng there!
