The pool area is magic. Big pool, palm tree's, loungers and a bar close by. Perfect for relaxing. I didn't want to leave and they let me stay longer. Friendly staff, breakfast was standard, but good. The room was comfy, if a little run down (part of the shower door missing), but that was all part of the charm....we will be back.
The hotel definitely needs some TLC, but I'm worried that if it's improved it will be overrun by visitors and the privacy we had would be ruined. But it is a waste of a hotel and really does need the visitors it deserves.
We were allocated unit 9 - shabby bathroom, shabby everything. Maybe other units are better but we asked and paid for Executive Suite...also visible and definite lack of upkeep and maintenance... Dining room and breakfast area lovely but the room massive dissapointment.
The view was spectacular
The garden was not at all looked after. The swimming pool was also not sparkling clean. The building are in need of some serious renovations.
Staff friendly. Beds very comfortable. Clean. Sitting rooms comfortable and well furnished.
Bathroom in one of the rooms old and run down. Building needs paint and upkeep, pool not in good condition. Breakfast tasteless, pastries were finished and when we asked for it, it never showed up. Not good value for money.
The view and the breakfast was good.
The view from the Veranda outside on teh town and mountain was good
Parking facilities poor On arrrival i was taken to room where the shower was broken and tied with Cable tie so that the water was sparying agaist the roof. I asked for another room which was given , shower door was missing and water sprayed all over the floor and toilet. In general the visual impression inside is poor. Paint peeling, cupboard doors ripped off and not replaced. Staf in the dining room are unpleasant, do not greet and not really customer orientated, The 2 night managers seemed fair and helpful under the circumstances. You can see no money has been spent for Years to keep the hotel in a condition which warrants the rating - perhaps their rating should be reviewed ! Big concern is that the people are aware of the broekn down condition and not doing anything. I have stayed in BB in Paarl at 50% of the rate which was far superior! The onlything Boutique abot the hotel was in the name. I will never stay there again and will never recomend it to anyone!
Spectacular Views Beyond excellence customer service Humbly passionate and hospitable Staff .. Inhouse movie place - super convenient Breakfast – Yummy- Yummy!!!!
I liked the way they treated us. I think the view was excellent the hotel self is nice to stay. There breakfast was taste full.
I Think they can upgrade there way of cleaning. There dustbins are definitely to small. If the use it in the bathrooms its fine, but you also need one in the room.. Other wise I have noting els negative to say
Staff at reception were very helpful and friendly. The view was magnificent.
Spiders in the bedrooms and showers very small.
We only stayed 1 night, in general it was good and would return to stay again.
There are a number of damp issues, which gives a false impression building is in need of a good renovation.
The staff was very friendly and efficient. Facilities were comfortable. Views are absolutely stunning.
The airconditioner in the room was not working.
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Staff were very helpful and courteous, facilities lovely and comfortable, the views are awesome. We will definitely use the hotel again and recommend it to others.
Staff were great and so was the breakfast and being able to book out later on Sunday
2nd bedroom was more like a hostel for R690 per night?? For a 4 star hotel we expected more from the room. Also no kettle or cups? Our room was ok but the door to the bathroom has no handle and struggled to open and close. Toiletpaper like sand paper??
the proximity to town, neat and clean and helpful staff
the tiled floors in winter are cold; make sure to pick a carpeted room; the bath in our room was very small; no heating in the lounge area and the outside light going on and off during the night is problamatic
