The staff was very helpful. They gave us a lot of information about activities and restaurants in the surroundings. At the day of arrival there was a buffet for a group, and they prepared a nice evening dinner for us. As we traveled with a baby, this was more than welcome! The breakfast was excellent with all kind of home made specialties. The cottages was clean and there was a big garden.
The staff are really helpful, the cottage is in an amazing location and the ostrich tour is a must
Everything was excellent we wish we had a longer stay
facilities were excellent
We checked out one day earlier and left, and checked into another hotel due to following reason. security poor, no one at reception, it was locked, no waiters etc, no room service, the staff was gone, reception was locked, we were left alone at the venue, quiet scary. we would like the refund for our stay as it was shocking to be left alone all by ourselves and no one to look after us as the place was locked. Thanks
Very peaceful, Cottage 3 had excellent views. Loved the spa bath
DSTV needed in cottage 3. More comfortable chairs in lounge area. Mattresses too soft (double bed)
Thanks go to Cindy who went the extra mile to help us with directions and also waited for us long after the reception was closed and for assisting with us not being there to make payment personally. Staff were great. Really beautiful setting. Stayed in the oldest cottage on the property - complete with old wooden floors and fireplace in the kitchen (but with modern conveniences). Love the baskets of Ostrich eggs under the light posts. So great to see olives growing on the trees.
We had to turn the geyser on. The shower needs a door or a curtain.
Beautiful farm, spacious room, and spacious bathroom and loved the patio and views of the farm. Quiet and peacefull, there's a pool as well as Oudtshoorn can get hot.
Everything was just fantastic! The staff were friendly, the rooms ultra comfy and clean, lovely bathrooms with spa bath plus shower and great toiletries . Good dinner recommendation at Buffelsdrift game lodge which was very close by. Lovely old dining room and tasty breakfast. Sorry we did not stay longer!
No tv in our bedroom. Other guests came in late and turned lounge tv on extra loud! This was not the guest house's fault, but suggest tv in room could avoid this problem. Also guests want to watch different channels ie. movie vs sport!
Beautiful surroundings and waking up to sound of birds singing every morning. Very friendly staff.
Found a frog or two in the room but to be expected on a farm. Would have liked to be given a choice at breakfast and not just served ostrich egg and meat products...
Very reasonabley priced and the staff were friendly and efficient. The owner was really helpful in relation to what was available in the area. They were also very accomodating when we arrived early. Nothing was too much trouble. The birdlife was really good too, and lots to do in the area which meant that it was really well situated.
Something that could be not altered by the resort, was the insects, but that is what is to be expected in farmland areas.
Reception Breakfasts - continental only as we did not sample the cooked food.
No easy chairs to sit on outside the cottage. Breakfast coffee weak
The location was beautiful, people were very nice and helpfull and late check out was not a problem at all. We had a lovely stay, wished we could stay longer.
Have stayed at Berluda previously and will stay there again. Great attitude by all concerned.
The whole experience was remarkable. They put hospitality back into the hospitality industry. Every interaction was a pleasure from the booking to the check-out
We loved the tranquility and the setting. It was a most relaxing time. Maryliese was fantastic she did all she could to help and make our stay comfortable. We loved her and thought she did so well under loads of pressure. She deserves a medal or a R2000 raise in pay.
Not a lot of thought had gone into providing cooking utensils seeing as this was self-catering.I could write a list of missing items but it's better if the owner puts some thought into what is needed. It will exercise their grey matter.
