Beautiful place, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, room was spacious and very comfortable (we had room 6). The facilities are great, you're made to feel very welcome and relaxed. The staff recommended and booked lovely prestaurants and places to go, book the hotels mini for a day - great fun driving along the coast with roof down and the wind in your hair!!
Can't fault it.
Friendly staff Location Wi-Fi & TV
We liked the relaxed atmosphere which enabled guests to chat in the evening if they wanted. This provided plenty of opportunities to compare restaurants and trips. We also liked the fact that Blackheath Lodge attracts visitors from across the globe so it had an international feel to it.
We liked everything
I loved the quirky individual style of Balckheath Lodge. The staff made us feel so welcome from the beginning and I extened our stay as we loved it so much!
- Staff - excellent, very helpful, you feel like at home - Breakfast - good - Close to the ocean - Brilliant idea to provide mobiles with a local number for every guest with a telephone number to the hotel and taxi. You don't have to spend money for roaming when calling taxi (sometimes it can take a while to reach a call centre)
Wifi connection Beautiful rooms Helpful staff
Friendly , helpful "nothing is too much trouble attitude" and spacious very comfortable room. Fantastic breakfast to start the day and great outdoor area around the pool to relax in. Blackheath met all my expectations and was better than I expected. It is a little paradise in Capetown. Love to come back for another stay.
The welcome at Blackheath could not have been warmer or more genuine. The host is a delight, full of wonderful information to help us with out 3 day stay in Cape Town. And we had a wonderful day touring the Cape in the fabulous red mini. Thank you all at Blackheath. Gina Melbourne
The staff/service was personable and extremely helpful and the common areas were very nice and cozy. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
We had two rooms and one of the rooms was very small so I would recommend getting one of the larger rooms if you are staying more than a couple of nights.
Excellent facilities, excellent staff (thanks, Anthony). Couldn't be bettered. Breakfast was great. Fabulous attention to detail. Keep up the good work. It is a credit to you and your staff. Regards, Greg
We loved everything about Blackheath Lodge! The location was great, it has a fun and cozy decor, and the breakfast was wonderful. But, it is the friendly staff that makes Blackheath a truly special B &B! Hope to return one day:)
Not a single thing!
Everything was excellent no faults at all.Antony was great as was all the staff will be back very soon with friends PG can't wait.
The helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff. They really do go the extra mile to provide everything you could possibly want. The amazing breakfasts!
A lot of thought had clearly gone into the smallest details (local mobile, cakes & sweets, mini hire). Some of the facilities on offer would not have been available at bigger hotels. Also there was no problem with storing my hire bike in the room which can sometimes be awkward.
The last two days of weather! So nothing to do with the lodge.
Came from Stockholm and stayed at the hotel for a week. Very friendly staff. Great hearty breakfasts, lots of fruit .. Lovely room design spirit of ancient charm. To come to ocean takes 3 minutes on foot. Very close location to Longstreet or Waterfront. Hotel provides discounted taxi and locally mobile to get to taxi or hotel for staying time.
Staff very friendly and very helpful
Very personal attention. Nothing was too much trouble. Even little details were provided e.g. umbrellas for all guests. All this and more led to a fantastic introduction to South Africa. Thank you so much.
Staff were all very personable - warm, helpful and sincere, we felt at home immediately. Loved all the thoughtful details, like having showers available for before check-in/after check-out; and the pre-loaded local cell phone. Wonderful.
I loved everything about the Blackheath Lodge from the friendly, super efficient staff, to the comfortable beds, beautiful and eclectic decor, to the delicious breakfast. The coffee, juice, fruit and eggs were all so scrumptious. The staff are so upbeat and helpful. As a matter of fact, the group of friends and I are going back for a visit next year and staying for one week instead of three days. I loved the location. It is in the Sea Point area and just a five minute walk to the beach. The staff had wonderful recommendations for restaurants and were always available to answer any questions and assist us with booking activities such as paragliding. Superb service, cordial and gracious attitudes, along with a beautiful and a serene setting-that is what makes Blackheath Lodge a very special place to stay. It just doesn't get any better than the three days we spent there last month-April 2014 which is why we are going back next year. We plan to stay for a week and are so excited about visiting again. Cape Town is a lovely and wonderful city. Blackheath Lodge was the icing on the cake! Alyce (an American living in Rheinland Pfalz, Germany)
There is not a single thing I did not like. The Blackheath Lodge was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed every moment of our stay!
Great attention to detail and superior service. Combined with excellent location made a wonderful stay.
Best hotel in town, with quite a nice location Best breakfast ever, with smiling kitchen staff Incredibly nice, helpful and available staff, answering all your requests (restaurant and taxi bookings, itineraries in the vineyard area...) Very big and well-furnished rooms, with nice views (on the mountains, on the sea...) Some very kind thoughts (as the staff learned my girlfiend and I were getting engaged, they immediatly sent a bottle of champagne to our our...) Wonderful atmosphere, quite friendly but also professional
Can we come live at BHL?
Friendliness of staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Very quiet area but not too far away. Excellent value for money.
Location, elegant comfortable, quiet room. Outstanding breakfasts, tea table and addictive coconut biscuits. Above all, Antony the soul of Blackheath, always anticipating your needs and desires. Can't imagine staying elsewhere in Cape Town.
Wouldn't change a thing !
Location very central and the staff very helpful and friendly.
Room was very dark and cramped and looked out into the backyard with all the debris.
Lovely, quaint hotel with a very homey feel. Extremely helpful staff both prior and during stay with many suggestions on places to go and eat. Not on the main drag but very close on a quiet street. Very relaxing.
Wish there was an electrical plug in the bathroom.
