Bloomestate is a unique modern guesthouse, situated on a tranquil ground on the edge of Swellendam. The garden rooms are situated in the large garden, all with views over the mountains and a private sunny patio. The sunny terraces overlooks over the pond, over the swimming pool or over the lemon orchard. Open air jacuzzi and wellness therapies offered in the privacy of the treatment room by a professional therapist. Separate large guest lounge with internet corner and funky bar wing and a large covered terrace to sip your drinks in the inspiring surroundings. Breakfast is served in the main house, looking over the garden.

Food & beverage

Breakfast will meet hotel standards and consist of fresh ingredients from the area served in bright airy breakfast room in the main house.
Small lunch and dinner are provided upon request. Dinner can be arranged at several very good restaurants nearby, some of which are situated in a walking distance away.

Area information

Swellendam is the third oldest settlement in South Africa and is situated at the foot of the majestic Langeberg mountains. It is famous for its architecture and fascinating history. The peaceful town is well known for the Drostdy Museum, the young berries, arts, crafts and roses.

Swellendam is not only a strategic location, but its beautiful surroundings are famous. Having 3 nature parks in the direct area and situated on the border of the Robertson Wine Valley, there are plenty of things to do and to explore.

Bloomestate is situated near the N2, approximately 200 km from both Cape Town and George, so is a perfectly comfortable base from which you can easily explore the area.

Travel information

If you come from Cape Town N2 take the first exit to Swellendam (West), the R60 to Ashton/Robertson. After 1 km you come to a 4-way-stop, turn right into the Voortrekstreet. bloomestate is the first house on the right hand side.

If you come from George N2 take the third exit Swellendam (West), the R60 to Ashton/Robertson. Which is the same exit as described above.

From the direction of Robertson take the R60 to Swellendam, turn left when you enter the village to the Voortrekstreet. bloomestate is the first building on your right hand site.
