The Blue Marlin Hotel is situated on KwaZulu-Natal’s popular South Coast, just 300 metres from the beach. Set in sub-tropical gardens with an outdoor pool, this hotel offers panoramic ocean views. All of the rooms at the Blue Marlin have air conditioning. Some of the rooms offer views of the Indian Ocean. The hotel’s facilities include both a swimming pool and a children’s pool. There’s also a children’s play area with a trampoline, swings and jungle gym. Free parking is available at the hotel. Location is excellent,great for us completing the Joberg2c mountain bike race,close to beach and race ending Hotel needs to be upgraded-been coming here for at least the last 5years......needs a lot of fixing outside as well as inside. Had no hot water and bathroom floor was flooded when I opened the door

That I only had to stay for one night I was very disappointed with the appearance of the hotel. Not a true reflection on what their website shows. Urgently needs a facelift. We had dinner (did not expect a 5 star meal) but this were definitely not freshly prepared. The beach facilties (Toilets) are also bad

The only thing I liked was that the hotel is right by the beach I didnt like Almost everything about the hotel. Hotel reception staff was not that welcoming, they were somehow as if they are wondering why we booked into the hotel. The bar fridge you have to pay for, and it is usually part of the room even in the cheapest hotel. I have travelled the sadc and Europe and this was my worst experience. Drains and carpets stank. The restaurant accept no shorts or casual wear, so what's the use of being a beach hotel? My carport was given off to another guest while I was still there, I had to find another parking at 12 A.m when I came home because another car was in my parking. I felt so uncomfortable throughout my stay here... I would never recommend this place to anyone I care about. Unfortunately there are no refunds, otherwise I would have left immediately.

Hotel needs to have make over - paint etc .SHould improve acess to beach from the hotel walkway .Build walk over make it more acessible . Parking area Walk to Beach - not as acessible and plesant .Hotel needs serious paint work and upgrade

The room view Room was dirty and had an unpleasant odour, husband was bitten by some bugs and had full lumps, it was definitely not worth the money that was paid

The hotel is in poor shape, it is in urgent need if maintenance, preferably a complete makeover. It is in a prime spot and should be upgraded to a prime hotel.

Great location - great sea views - easy walking distance to town, restaurants, shops, beach. Staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a bit shabby but I believe renovations will be happening soon.

The hotel was used to stay at after completing the Sani2C mountainbike race and was chosen for its convenient location. The exterior of the hotel needs upgrading.

That one can leave your car at the hotel, and walk to a very nice swimming beach. Liked the breakfast combo, and room service (tidy up) The "state" or "condition" of the outer builiding is in poor condition (poor maintanance on paint) walls are peeling (ashame because it's a lovely builiding with great potential) Rooms need some modernizing (for instants new linen and towels, very outdated!)

If you want to get away from all the noise you can go to Blue Marlin I did not like the bed , it was uncomfortable. We expecting the double bed but instead it was two single bed joined together
