We loved everything.
Location, friendliness, ambience, garden, breakfast.
The owners were lovely people and couldn't be more helpful
I stayed in the annex building 50 metres away but had breakfast in the main building, which worked fine. I liked the carefully restored room, the beautiful garden and the very friendly reception.
Receptionist was very friendly and helpful
The lighting is deadly so dark and lack of plugs in convenient places
Room style quality linen helpful staff
Excellent friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean room, brilliant location within 2min walking distance to centre of Stellenbosch. Wonderful last 2 days of our holiday.
We loved our room, and the location of the place. It was a stunning place.
Bathroom small and dated but adequate.
Large comfortable bedroom. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Very good location.
we were just a bit disappointed not to stay in the main building because it looked so cute. However we didnt pay attention when booking, so no fault of theirs!
Very clean, very cute, friendly service. Good breakfast. Lovely ambiance
The pool was only a plunge pool and my friend likes a swim in the morning.
We were in the annex building across the road from the main building. The house is opposite the entrance to the botanical gardens and is very convenient for the cafe there and a 5 minute walk from the shops and eateries in town. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room clean and well appointed with kitchenette.
Personel is very nice and helps to organize stay in Stellenbosch. It is close to the center and very nice botanic garden is just on the other side of the street. Parking places.
When we arrived at the guesthouse after a night out, there was no parking space left inside the grounds. We had to park in an open space down the road. Safety was questionable.
The location, as well as the breakfast...having an option for "Eggs Benedict".
It's convenient,it's safe,it's beautiful and good services
Noisy AC unit in Room 16.
A charming Victorian property staffed by equally charming and helpful staff. It was 39 degrees hot during the day and the pool was a most welcome facility. The cooked English breakfast was done well and very tasty!.
Beautiful building, friendly and helpful staff and close proximity to centre of town.
when you go by car, parking is a logistic problem, going from one house to the other, cross a busy street, find the right button for the right door etc.
bonneesperance is managed professionally and a well located spot near the center of stellenbosch, the pool is very small
We couldn't get connected to the wifi from our room. If we cat by the living room window we could get online but connection was very slow. Fortunately I was able to use 3G on my phone for doing little things and we didn't really need the Internet any way!
Brilliant location, only a few minutes walk from the town centre. We stayed in one of the self catering apartments and it was perfect. There was a great little pool and secure off street parking. Staff were very helpful and organised for an iron to be brought to our room very efficiently. Will definitely stay here again when in the area again next year.
Starting to look a little shabby. Remains of someone else's drink in the fridge. Poor sound insulation, so could hear neighbouring rooms. All towels taken and bedding stripped while we were having breakfast - at 9.30! Unappetising breakfast.
The double bed and room was too small for two singles to share.
The garden and history
No negative comments.
Breakfast was great. Good value.
Wifi wasn't working at guest house Breakfast was 4/10
Location, guest house
Room was a bit small, which might be expected in a historic property. Can't remember if the air conditioning was cooling properly. I think the room was a bit hot for part of our stay.
Breakfast on the veranda, friendly and helpful staff, location, garden.
A pretty, atmospheric, well-kept guesthouse with lovely gardens and stoop to relax in. Very nice rooms and friendly, helpful staff.
