The proximity to the V&A waterfront. It's like student accomidation, horrible dirty rooms. Noisy plumbing. Advertised having wi-fi which doesn't work. Was overpriced for the poor quality of the room and hotel. |

The fact that I only had to stay two nights and did not have to pay for it myself. Also, as a journalist, it has given me a few ideas for articles. My boos chose it because it was the only hotel we could find (there was a major event in town and our preferred hotels were booked out). Most of the reception staff were rude, arrogant and did not seem to have a good grasp of English. My employer had paid in advance, through Booking.com, for me to stay two nights; on arrival, the receptionist said I had only been paid-up for one night. When I was checking out, another two receptionists tried to get me to use my own credit card to pay for the second night. They also tried to get me to pay for breakfast even though it had been included in the accommodation fee, and insisted I pay for phone calls which did not go through (the operator in the hotel could not put them through). I had to threaten to call the police - ironically, the hotel used to be a prison. Ho.wever, the cafe staff and cleaners were friendly and professiona |

I have travel all over the world but thıs hotel was not a good expereınce. Lobby personell was very warm and that was where ıt stopped. We had to fınd our room by ourself)on other sıde of buıldıng). It felt more lıke a school than a hotel. The "suıte" wıth "vıew" was mınute and the vıe was actual lookıng at back yard of hotel. How they expect two people to stay ın such a small place fornthre days I really do not know. The bathrooms are not even one square meter. There ıs no water. ıce or anythıng lıke thıs ın the rooms. They gıve you coffee and tea but creamer for one cup.A haırdryer but no adaptor for plug. When we phone receptıon for one.no porters or staff to brıng ıt. There ıs one vendıng machıne ın the hotel whıch took us 30 fın |

The location is excellent and the staff were excellent. The room we got was not the same as the room we thought we had booked over the Internet. We asked for a double bed, 2 single beds and a bath and a shower and we got 2 rooms both with single beds in, and a small shower cubicle with no bath. The room (1002) was also very close to reception so it was very noisy and to be honest, very very small in size! |

Convenient basic no frills accomodation within easy walking distance of V&A Waterfront. Reception and check-out were efficient. Buffet breakfast in the "canteen" was very good. Daily room service was basic - towels were not hung properly, tea and milk not always replenished. Building interior is like a cheap dormitory block. |

Location. The hotel was in fact the Uni of Cape Town, so you stay in empty dorm rooms, they must be rented out as hotel rooms when not in use, not what I was expecting, not luxourious at all. |

The location is good, walking distance from the V&A Waterfront and close to the city bowl. The design of this hotel is a total mess!! The hotel is mixed in with a university campus, and it is just ridiculously arranged, you will be walking to/from your room and classes of students will be coming out of lecture halls! Thr rooms are tiny and badly designed, not at all what you pay for. |

staff were friendly wasnt clean, didnt feel safe and over priced for what you got. should not be recommended at all. was a single person and was sent to an isolated spot in the hotel which was not thoughtful on their part for my safety. staff were friendly and helpful but did not advise correctly on appropriate costs for cabs - this allows tourists to be taken advantage of. |

Conveniently close to amenities I requested a change of linen three times to no avail!! This is very poor for a so called business hotel in Cape Town. The room was dingy, dark and depressing. |

There was nothing to like about this hotel. Total and utter dissappointment. Would never go back. The hotel is part of the university, so you are sleeping in a dormitory!! People doing washing at the end of the hall. Communal student areas dotted around. Did not resemble any kind of hotel at all, all directions and signs are for lecture halls, self serve cafeteria and communal student areas. Not worth even half of what we were forced to pay. Were woken up at 5:45am by loud, noisy water pipes! When checking out at 8:30am was ready to go back to bed!!!! Just not in that hotel. Had booked for two nights, and wouldnt of even stayed for the first one, but they would not refund our money. Payment was taken from my card before my arrival!!! Not what is supposed to happen. Do not go to this place!! |

The Hotel was clean with very helpful staff. It was relatively inexpensive for the V and A waterfront. The included breakfast made the package a real bargain. No workout facilities. |

The location of the Hotel is great, easy access to waterfront shops and restuarants, as well as the city center and table mountain. The hotel is quite comfortable and the staff very pleasant. Room and bathroom very small, not really suitable for a family holiday it is more of a businessman's hotel for short stays, the breakfast or tearoom is to far from the hotel and would not be accessible for children on their own. |

Location was good, close to Waterfront. Having washing machine & dryer available for use was very handy. I liked that there was a separate room/office to the bedroom. The room was very warm so we were happy there was a fan we could plug in. Since there were kitchens there for the guests, it would have been useful if they included cutlery & delph. The internet was the most expensive we experienced during our trip, at 60 rand per hour. The carpets in the corridors were very shabby. The bedroom & bed were quite small, we kept banging off the lockers. |
