loved the location garden and ambience.
I liked the idea of wine testing combined with the different tastes of pizza. We liked the wine Lord T and Lady H very much. Also the paining of the locat artist in the rooms ar every beautiful and one option could be to offer them for sale :-)
Due to the high shipment costs which were offered we decided not to buy unfortunately. Don't know if it is feasible for the size of the vineyard but it would be great to offer shipment for free or less money if you orde about 18 bottles like the bigger ones are offering.
The surroundings, the view , the room.
The fact that you are led to believe you can get breakfast from the cafe, but it only opens at 11.00am so you have to go and find somewhere in town. only one small window, so quite airless at night, also quite noisy people walking and talking past your room at all hours, towells very small, not enough mats in bathroom. Shower a bit iffiy, no extractor fan or window in toilet.
location and design
No iron and ironing board available to iron shirts
Nice spacious rooms and calm decor
Quite noisy with rooms too close together and also road noise , also for a "b&b" there was no breakfast?
Great wine, great people, great room, great pizza, great location, great Service!!!
check-in till 17:00 only, no staff to assist. Only 1 restaurant, it closes at 10:00 pm, we went there at 8:45 pm on a Wed night and we were told to eat quickly because they are closing at 9:00 pm. We were served a pizza and without plates and cutlery, disappointing experience at the restaurant. Could not get any WIFI connection, didn't work at all
We were received warmly and time was taken to show us around. The location is beautiful and our room was warm and made us fell welcome and at home. The restaurant close by had a lovely atmosphere. Thank you very much and look forward to returning. Regards Gary & Madelyn.
Would like to have seen more of the stud farm, looked forward to the feeling of being on a farm and enjoying the farm atmosphere.....but otherwise , no complaints and very happy.
It's beautiful. Room is so simple and clean
So I paid a premium price to enjoy a wine estate and the place was closed down on Tuesday evening. No restaurant, no wine tasting, the owners away on holiday. I think that "Booking" has a responsibility to public that facility is all but closes on Monday and Tuesdays. I had not way of knowing. I wasted my one night in Stellanbosch. I could not even get a cork screw for bottle of wine purchased at liquior store. Be warned. Unless you are on honeymoon and want to stay in your room, don't book for Monday or Tuesday evenings.
Everything..The view, the room..the bathroom..the entrance with the beautiful furniture..The garden..the birds..the water running through..just so pretty and relaxing!
The peace and quiet of the location.Nice modern rooms and very comfortable bed
The room was freezing cold , the cement floor made it even more so.the open shower not nice in winter. Please provide bigger shower towels. I had left my hairdryer at home and had to use the one provided but the necessary two pin plug was not provided , had to go with wet hair!
The room was gorgeous, the view was lovely. It was the perfect weekend getaway. We stayed in the 'bridal suite' and it was so relaxing and quiet. The location to Stellenbosch for breakfast, as well as surrounding wine farms for later in the day, was excellent. The complimentary wine in the room was a nice touch.
I would have liked fresh milk in the room, but then I am a teetotaller (when I'm not drinking wine!).
ROOM SMELT OF SMOKE AND WAS VERY COLD
Lack of towels (only 1 hand towel for the 2 of us) Soul-less patio (2 uncomfortable chairs & table) with no welcoming plant in it & divided from other patios by grey corrugated iron panels. No breakfast provided unless pre-booked 24 hours in advance: nearby restaurant's menu was pizza/pizza or salad. No kettle to make a cup of tea/coffee & no cups etc. just such a disappointment that we booked out early. We contacted the management but have had no response from them. It seems that they don't care. We are sorry for those who booked their honeymoon there - it must have been quite a let down for them. The grassy area in front of the rooms was attractive but no seats/benches provided to sit & relax & enjoy the evening sun. We will not be back!
Loved the setting and accommodation - amazing wedding location
No breakfast available at all And a loud dog barking next door for 1/2 the night
A window out to the mountain would have completed everything. We had a mouse in the room during night.
Position was good and lovely views.
No amenities. Arrived Sunday 4pm, and no food or drink available until Wednesday as restaurant does not open Monday or Tuesday. No fridge in room. Felt isolated, no staff on site after 5pm. No option to have breakfast at Brenaissance. Have to drive in to town.
Easy to find attractive garden surroundings
No breakfast facilities instant coffee room badly insulated for noise no staff presence in evening shop closed for purchase of wine must drive past refuse dump bathroom open to bedroom
spacious, beautiful views, quiet
Great location, wonderful rooms and design. Just a beautiful place to stay
Wifi didnt work.
Room is pretty big and clean, restaurant inside the estate is close and nice. Wine test is available. Away from noisy city, Very quite and air is always fresh.
The water has a bit of brown color. No breakfast included.
I particularly liked the fact that it was so quiet and yet not far from the bustle of Stellenbosch. Think the rooms are very tastefully decorated and comfortable and the most beautiful setting in the Devon Valley.
