The rustic furniture, the view over the river and bush, the peace and quiet, the friendly and very helpful staff, the neat and well kept gardens.

The view from our sleeping area window on to the partly plastic sheet covered roof of the walkway. It looked shabby and does not do justice to the rest of your beautiful Lodge

The pool, just 5minutes from Krugerpark. In 10minutes you Will find a spar supermarkt in Komatipoort.

Very lovely people are running Buckler's Africa. The location is good, very near the entrance of the park. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, with a great view. Would definitely recommend this place!

It is difficult to say what we like there ... Everything was perfect, from the hospitality, location ... there is a piece of paradise ... We are very grateful for everything they have given us and helped us!! Always remain so!! Perfect!

The place to be to experience Kruger in its full nature!!

The setting for Buckler's is fantastic. We spent many hours sitting by the pool watching the wildlife on the river, Hippos, Elephants, Rhinos and Buffalos as well as warthogs, Kudu, Boks. With a Gin & Tonic and an ice cream what could be more relaxing ! We booked for 6 nights having read many of the previous ratings which said that they hadn't stayed long enough. We did not regret this and could have stayed longer. It was a great base to go into Kruger Park, as well as horse riding and elephant back safaris at nearby Kwa Madwala, which were booked through Buckler's. The rooms were excellent, we had a 3 bedroom self catering unit, but booked breakfast at Buckler's for the mornings we were not away early on safari. The breakfasts were great ! Cheryl and Kathryn were a brilliant help in organising our holiday, with helpful suggestions and booking activities for us, via e mail. Kathryn and Kert were superb hosts for the 6 days, able to answer all our questions and suggest options for eating dinner and lunch. The Braai packs provided by Buckler's were great and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the food. This was our first visit to South Africa, the friendliness of the staff at Bucklers, the standard of accomodation and the amazing location, mean that it won't be the last. The kids are already saving up their pocket money so they can go back next year.

Comfortable room with a small kitchenette. Great breakfast, nice swimmingpool and great views over the river with lots of wildlife.

The room from the garden onto Kruger Park is fabulous! Especially for having breakfast or for just sitting on the deck, sipping a glass of wine and watching an elephant herd crossing the river (ok ok very decadent but). Our room was very big and very nicely decorated, a bit darkish though.Good self-catering possibilies as the kitchen has all amenities. Beautiful gardenb with all the african birs sounds you'd wish, not to forget the african night skies. Very warm welcome and service.

Room a bit too dark, little dining opportunities nearby (Buckler's could be paradise when offering dining possibilities, a suggestion?).

Great place to stay. We arrived and saw already elephants, hippos and rhinos direct from the lodge. The organized early morning safari was amazing.

Breakfast could have been better.

We were personally welcomed at the door and shown our rooms. The rooms are very well designed and beautifully decorated. The scenery is beautiful and you have a lovely view of the river and the bushveld. They even provide binoculars for viewing the game. We really enjoyed our stay at Buckler's Africa and would even consider staying there for a little longer next time as it was so comfortable and peaceful there.

Our 3-day-stay in this guesthouse has been marvelous ! First, it is perfectly located 15 minutes far from the Kruger's Gate called Crocodile Gate, and 15 minutes far from Komatiepoort (supermarket, petrol station). Their catch phrase "The Kruger Park is our garden" is so true. From the swimming pool, we could admire elephants having a bath and buffalos drinking. The couple of owners are very nice and welcoming. They gave us good advise to optimize our chances to see animals in the park, and we enjoyed talking with them. They offer a daily one-hour trip along the frontier with the park in their 4x4; it is free, you just need to buy the beers ! Finally, the room was great, spacious, comfortable and very convenient with the kitchen. Be aware that they don't serve food (apart from breakfast) but that either you can cook or you can go to a restaurant (cheap and tasty!) 5 minutes drive from the guesthouse.

All was beautiful, the room was clean and with a sight on the garden very beautifu, you saw the park kruger from the patio of the room. The position of the guest house was excellent for the escurzionis to the Kruger and the very kind and available staff to make escurzioni or to reserve tables for the suppers. The breakfast is very good and abundant

We had a very happy two nights and a restful day doing nothing but reading and looking out for game in the river. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and I would stay there again should I be in the area.

It is not their fault but the neighbours are digging up sand in the river bed with trucks during the day which is noisy. This annoyed me as it is very unfair to Bucklers Africa and also affects the water flow of the Crocodile River and bad for the game. I feel it should be stopped as it must affect the water level for all the lodges along the river and I hate seeing the levels of the water being drained away for mans commerce (sugar cane). I am most surprised that the National Parks Board allows this. I actually wonder if they are even aware that it is taking place.

The good reviews on booking.com were all experienced to be spot-on. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. We didn't use the outside shower as the mornings and evenings are rather chilly at the moment, but in the summer, this would be great! The honesty bar offers all one could need, guide books are available as are binoculars ... Our room, bathroom and bedding were spotless and the hostess is friendly & welcoming. We weren't fortunate enough to have any wildlife pay a close visit, but heard hyenas as well as a lion's roar close by during the night - wow! We will definitely be back!
