Location. Luxury. You must do the night Spider walk with Ryan!
People were very friendly, the house was very clean and fully equipped. We've had a nice time
the location, the people, the whole expirience
"Yellow Wood" room/house was modern, cool and eco friendly with a lovely private swimming pool, but the biggest plus to this lovely game farm and the unit we stayed in was the stillness around us and the feel of nature. The only "noises" we have heard was those of animals. Heaven.
We have never met the owner of the resort. It would have shown some interest just to come and greet us. We stayed 3 nights/4days
Privacy of the cottage. Lots of animals walking by. modern kitchen and bathrooms. Very clean.
Absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway in the Bush with only the sound of birds and small animals. Bed, shower, outlook and room facilities all wonderful. Staff attentive but not in your space. The small things are very well done.
Wanted a few more days there!
The green orange monkey chalet was excellent. The situation in the game reserve was perfect. Self guided walks superb and evening spider walk really interesting and informative. Location great for visiting Sodwana Bay, St Lucia and Imfolozhi game Reserve. Staff very friendly.
The cottage was absolutely wonderful. It had a nice kitchen, which we used. The bedrooms were spacious and everything was nicely furnished and new. Very relaxing. The back deck was fabulous and it is great to be surrounded by nature and animals. They included a free nature walk around the property -- that was amazing!!
The seating area in the living room is a bit awkward, but we spent most our time on the back deck. There isn't a lot in the area. Few restaurants. St. Lucia has a lot more but is 1.5 hours away.
walking with giraffes
Liz and her team made us feel welcome, issuing great advice on the things to do in the area, as well as making a special occasion even more special by arranging dinners and even as far as a lil picnic in the bush, staff are friendly.
no aircon, no tv could (should be an option for guests.)
Tammy and I loved absolutely everything....From the warm and friendly welcome by the staff, the stunning Yellow boutique with plunge pool and game meandering by to an evening spider walk with Ryan and Jana which was a unique and special experience! Thereafter a superbly prepared and presented dinner by Jabu and staff! Thanks to "Thands" (Thandile) for keeping the boutique so clean and respecting our privacy! You guys, your lodge and service are all top notch....well done and hope to be back soon!
The chalet had windows from the floor to the roof. It was fantastic on the Sunday morning to lie back in bed and watch the game go by
Dinner was not that great
We stayed in the Yellowwood Cottage with its own plunge pool. It is stylish, bright, modern, private and classy and no expense has been spared on the furniture and fittings. We loved it. The staff (Jana, Victoria and Javu) were great and Ryan's night time spider walk was very special. He is extremely well informed about the bush and its countless inhabitants. Liz, the owner, provided us with some handy tips regarding places to visit in the area which we would otherwise have missed. Highly recommended. We'll be back and particularly look forward to doing Ryan's proposed frog and butterfly walks..
Great place to unwind and not be bothered with anyone else around you!
Not easy to find the road, because of signboard is different name.
Owners not living on site
Service, location, attention to detail.
The food could be improved upon. Although great value for money, the food was not extraordinary.
Everything!!! This place is superb. A true private retreat in the bush. Perfect blend of comfort and facilities and wilderness.
such a surprise to come off the N2 , get to Bushwillow, and be straight into a true African bush! yet with all mod-cons. the welcome was warm and efficient, tho we found it difficult to find our 'beach house'-like finding game!
there was nothing we didnt like. we would have tweaked the design of the house- but this is a subjective matter.if someone found it difficult walking-because of a weight disability, eg, there is a 400 m walk or so each time from parking to the house. this might be indicated in the literature.
Stunning Design Private game reserve Friendly & helpful staff
Beautiful, modern and functional facilities. Walking in the reserve amongst the giraffe, nyala, impala and other animals in the reserve
Nothing at all
excellent people (Jabu, Victoria and the gate keeper did an amazing job!) great dinners everything just perfect
The cottage was absolutely stunning with state of the art luxurious finishes. Excellent all weather patio furniture and great state of the art barbeque on a beautiful wooden deck, where one can enjoy the tranquillity of the bush while sitting in the hot tub. Liz (the owner) went the extra mile for us and we will definitely be back. Hans, Yolandè, Chantè & Johann J v Vuuren (Ballito KZN)
