Location & great breakfasts Supreme hospiality
No parking behind locked gates
I enjoyed the breakfast and the business sense of the proprietor.
Lack of tablet bathing soap. I am not a fun of liquid soap. Lack of a big sign board on the road to guide the visitor where to turn in.
Easy to get around from here, friendly, helpful staff
very loud when people move around at 3 a.m.
The location was suitable for our meetings.
We had requested to have breakfast after ten since we were preparing for our 12 am meeting, but at 10am on the dot they declared the kitchen closed. We were the only guests. On consulting with Aubrey who apparently hadn't communicated our request to the kitchen lady he denied ever receiving such a request. We had also asked for extra towels but no towels were delivered. I have liked staying in B&Bs for their warmth but I will stick to hotels from now on.
Nothing, as I was not given the chance to stay.
I did not like the fact that when I arrived they did not have any staff available to check me in. All they had was a telephone number which you had to dial upon arrival. No one answered the phone when I arrived forcing me to make alternative arrangements for accomodation - absolute terrible service.
Safe place, close to V & A Waterfront, Table Mountain, and other scenic tours. Staff very nice and helpful
Room and bathroom quite small.
Too basic for a 4 graded establishment. Did not meet expectations
The cleanliness and friendliness of our host, Aubrey
The room was absolutely TINY. I am a small girl and even I found moving around the room difficult. The dining area and kitchen are directly outside the bedrooms so from just after 6am it was a noisy environment.
The location, walking distance from Sea Point park and not too far from water front and the city center, also some good restaurants very close by !
Breakfast was very limited and staff not really qualified.
Nothing really. There is no interior decorating. The room was small and noisy, not soundproof and opened directly into the dining room. It was a good bed though. Not enough light in the room and impossible to put make-up on in the poor light.
When we arrived at the arranged and confirmed time, it was locked with no response from the doorbell and for more than an hour the phone was not answered. We were on the point of looking for another place to stay, when we got through to them. The delay caused us to be late for our appointment and we had no time to freshen up. Totally unacceptable!!
Just down the road you can find a number of places to eat and a Woolworths. Walk a little further and you'll reach the beach, which has lots of playgrounds and lawn and (of course) the ocean and convenient bus stops for Cape Town's tourism buses (which are also highly recommendable). The service here was friendly and polite, and they were kind enough to let us use their Honesty Bar fridge to store food throughout the week. We were also able to arrange for an airport shuttle back for the morning, there's a small tv in the room (limited channels, but better than nothing by far) and the internet has been very serviceable for web browsing. Breakfast was also very good, albeit the same options every day. The bed was good as well and we had a nice view of the patio area. The area was very safe and well-lit; we were just two girls and walked back and forth from our friends' hotel multiple evenings with no problem.
The room was a little bit small, the bathroom especially. If you don't make sure to shut the doors in just the right order (there are two) you run the risk of hurting yourself. Also we noticed that it was always a bit on the humid side in the room, but it really wasn't a bother and the AC unit at night is very helpful for that. It would have been nicer to have full access to the kitchen in order to do more self-catering, but the staff lock it up while away and as it ended up working out we weren't really in the room most days long enough to warrant that as a necessity.
Aubrey was an excellent host, the room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We had a very nice breakfast served in the courtyard. Thank you very much for a great experience.
Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great. The upstairs unit has everything one needs from a self catering point of view.
Shortage of parking, but that's just the nature os Seapoint. Aircon in the upstairs unit was very noisy and didn't work well.
Parking is not secure
Enjoyed breakfast outside
Nothing only the breakfast room area bit pokey.
The location of the place is in a quiet area, the staff is very friendly.the breakfast was superb, and generally the place is clean I will come back next time thanx
There is no ample parking space ,but I guess there is no much that can be done as it a well built up area
Everything was exceptional!!! I Will without a doubt return.
Very central. Staff very friendly.
Too much noise in the morning as you can hear staff while setting up breakfast.
Excellent location close to seapoint with many restaurants and bars around (within 2min). Very good breakfast even for people who do not eat eggs. Staff very friendly. Excellent value for money.
Loved everything about it. Aubrey & his staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast in the garden was delicious & well presented. Will definitely return & recommend.
Parking can be a bit of an issue.
The place has this tranquel setting, being a former Capetonian, is perfectly located and the accomodation and facilities were excellent.
Very kind and good service! Location is good, although ca. 30 min walking to the Waterfront.
The quality of the wifi was too low.
Affable host, flexible management
It was a last minute booking for me as my wife had to have an operation, which meant my staying in Cape Town an extra night. Everyone was extremely helpful and understanding. The room was delightful and the locatipn served my purpose extremely well.
