Staff were amazing, could not do enough for me and my family
our aircon was not working for 3 out of the 4 nights. luckily the weather was pretty cool so opening the windows helped. It was only fixed on the last night and the general manager apologized for taking so long to fix it.
loved the overall experience at the hotel. the welcome we had received was like non other. Worthy of the royal title indeed. staff were extremely friendly and the general manager greeted us almost everyday and asked us about our trip. everyone was very helpful and the hotel itself was great. facilities, beds, were really good.
Closeness to the Va
The staff were absolutely amazing and very kind; they even call you lord and lady. The location is very central without feeling touristy. The hotel has a more boutique feel, which we really liked. The breakfast was wonderful and focuses on low carb and healthy fat.
Insufficient kitchen equipment for most basic self catering, pNs, corkscrew, sharp knife
Very attentive staff and good facilities
Facilities not great for 5 star.
Clean and comfortable
Parking not free.
Location is very good.
State of the rooms were definitely not 5 star, more like 3 star. Tried 2 different rooms. Settled for the least appalling one.Broken tiles in kitchen, chipped coffee table in lounge, battered furniture in lounge, dingy sofas, dingy cushions.
Location was good. Staff tried very hard to accomodate us. Espresso machine was a nice touch.
Bedroom had no windows!
Loved the Apartment we had, didn't want to leave...
The roof top pool is a disgrace for a Hotel of this category. It was green and not maintained at all. I think they should fire the pool boy. Internet was really poor and most of the time not working.
Spacious rooms, Full equipped kitchen including washing machine, fridge etc. Comfortable beds. The staff is friendly and most welcoming
Our Avis hired car was damaged by one member of the staff. The management took us from pillar to post. We wrote to every member in the management until we decided to pay Avis because they blacklisted us because of that.
The style of furnisher with the classic interior designed for a status.
Rooms are first class
Just battled with the Wifi, not very strong and kept asking us to reenter the passwords, etc, eventually we just left it, was much to itrritating
We liked everything, not much more to add, really great hotel
According to my reservation policy, I had three days in advance to cancel my reservation with no charges (I made two separate reservations to be able to do that, 5 nights and 4 nights). I talked to the reception desk more than once three days before the second period to cancel my second reservation, yet when checking out they tried to "outsmart me" and charge me for and additional night claiming that I didn’t inform them. Then when I was upset, they thought they made me a favor by withdrawing the charge, totally unprofessional.
an excellent hotel for a family very clean space and lokation and grate
The apartments make you feel at home
No milk in the fridge
We came to do the Spar ladies run/walk. the start was literally across the road and made it so much more convenient to sleep in Green Point and not fight the early morning race traffic. The hotel is drop dead beautiful and it was very luxurious.
I liked everything, location, rooms, staff - All
We stayed in a number of 5 star accommodations over our 2 1/2 week stay in SA. The breakfast in the Cape Royal did not compare with the other establishments - particularly the Palazzo in JoBerg - as a result we only had breakfast once during our stay. Wifi - it was very frustrating to have to use the username/password system being used. It is much easier to use your room number and surname like most hotels. Please note however that my stay overall was fantastic and that I intend to stay in the Cape Royal on my next visit.
The room was fantastic as was the overall hotel.
We really did not like the beds as they were really small and hard to sleep on. The beds were hard as rocks too!
The location just cannot be beat - restaurants and the Waterfront minutes away.
Week Internet in the room i
The complimentary wi-fi is only 1gb, after that you have to pay for more, it's also erratic and unreliable.
Thr suites are large and comfortable with well equipped fitted kitchens. The location is great for a short walk to the waterfront and for strolling in downtown Cape Town.
The pool on the roof and the breakfast restaurant which actually we did not use since breakfast was not included.
Location by the waterfront and convenience of staff and indoor parking.
Limited wifi, very dark in lift entrance area and the roof top pool and bar area was extremely disappointing and uninviting
Room size was excellent
