Good location. Wonderful reception area.
We paid for parking, however, there is simply never enough parking. The main bedroom - the bed does not have a head board. The furniture has cracks and chips. Not a 5 star hotel.
Location restaurants staff comfort size friendliness almost everything
having to order our crockery and corkscrew from reception as and when we needed it
Turn-down service at 4pm!!
We stayed in 2 bedroom suite, which was lovely furnished, spacious, very clean with lovely, convenient kitchen.Well equipped with excellent working internet.
All was great, but the lounge Caffè bar is a must.It would be great to have a cup of coffee or drink on arrival, unfortunately there is no such facility and the Caffè next door is not an answer neither a suitable alternative.
room was very quipped. the staff was very welcoming and helpful. 600 meters from V&A
bed was a little small and soft
everything this hotel was amazing!!!!!
The staff (lobby and restaurant) were warm, welcoming and always ready to help. Rooms were HUGE and very tastefully furnished.
In-room wireless connection unreliable. Bedroom closest to the atrium lobby could be better soundproofed - kids got woken a few times by noisy guests returning to their rooms late at night.
The reception and staff
The bed in the main bedroom.it was too small. They need to pit King Size on those master bedroom
The friendliness of staff and their willingness to assist made it "Home away from home"
Location Style of room Great staff really helpful
The villas are luxurious and everything in it just perfect.
The room furniture was below average. The Internet is free but limited. for every reservation one internet card even if you booked a suite for 4 Adult & 1 kids, after complaining, they provide us with another internet card and they agree to provide us an internet card every 3 days. (was very annoying and had to subscribe with GSM company. During the check-in, the lady ask me if I want to pay extra in case of any room service , I told her "No thanks, I will pay cash if any" And told her clearly to take the exact room amount, and we agreed, when I went to my room, Found out she took an extra 800 Rand, went back, found out she took it in case of room services!
We did the hotel pick up service from the airport since we were getting in late and didn't want to drive. Cedric the driver was great and it was nice to be taken directly to the hotel after a long day of traveling. The pick up was charged to the room so no need to worry about the payment, besides the tip. Reception was great. Our princesses were given crowns! Since the restaurant was closed for renovation, they offered to run out and get food for us. Bell staff was great with the luggage and room intro. Family room was awesome! Our girls especially liked the chandeliers in the rooms. Walked to the V&A the next morning for breakfast and then returned to checkout. Cedric was available again to take us to the Avis rent-a-car in town. From the girls (8 & 10 years old) perspective: We loved the crowns. Very kid friendly. Loved the chandeliers in the bathroom. They treated us like royalty as soon as we walked in the door. Thanks for making our stay the best stay ever!
The rooftop bar closed early that night since it was slow. Would have been nice to have a beer with a view. We'll have to try again next time and stay longer!
Location, service, management.
Some specific issues that we addressed with hotel and they were resolved.
The most notable thing about the Cape Royale are its staff who, are willing, wanting and waiting to help you. I have never had service like this and I have travelled the world. Jenny Gill
Lack of colour in the apartment. A few pictures would be good.
rooms bit cheap finishing
Cleanliness and spaciousness of rooms and bathrooms. The staff was very friendly, helpful yet not intrusive and overbearing.
Service staff were not attentive and suite was not equipped with basic necessities.
We reserved a double suite at the arrival they said not available, the offer was downgrade with 2 rooms 3 hours later we had our room Services in general they were very down our expectation far away from a 5 stars hotel The throw on the beds were dirty Till the latest moment we were facing with leak services We have ordered and paid for a VAN transfer to the airport (we were 4 adults) they put all our lagguages in a regular car The second day of problrms I've send a very strong mail to the manager, i met her the day after They send us wine and sweets but the service didn't change much. For sure I personally don't think that the value of 8.8 is correct Unless people that they are not used to travell is 5 stars hotel and they are not used to high level standard services
The manager & staff were all efficient, friendly & welcoming & we loved the quirkiness of the place...a great mix of luxury & comfort.
They had overbooked & we had to stay at a different hotel on our first night (The Westin). Would have preferred a larger master bedroom & a smaller living area. Restaurant was being refurbished but the breakfast arrangements at a local café were great.
We had a standard suite on the 2nd floor, very clean, beautiful modern design, all as you'd expect for this category of hotel, but with the added extra of a fully equipped kitchen, even including a washer dryer! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble, from James who showed us to our room, to the fastest, and tastiest room service we've ever enjoyed, despite it being 1am. The sky bar was an excellent place to enjoy great value sundowners and even on a winter's day the pool looked very inviting.
There was no bath but the shower was lovely, big and powerful. It would be nice for the spa facilities to include a jacuzzi / steam room etc for the colder months, it currently just provides beauty treatments.
size of the room and the bonus of a kitchen washing machine dishwasher etc. Roof pool & sun lounge area!!
no ironing board (dare say had I asked they would have delivered to our room) no information in the room. no note pad or pen No real lounge area just a very nice plush reception
Cape Royale name as a hotel so you expect rooms but it is a nice surprise as rooms have a feel of apartment style as very spacious and modern as we had 2 bedrooms with large modern living room and even a kitchen had a washing machine Great location to get around cape town. If you run out of anything shops and restaurants are right outside. We felt very safe and happy.
Butler park the car and they charge a fee for parking the car each night stay. Parking should be free for overnight guests. Wi-fi reception need to be sorted but I rooms were fantastic.
Everything about the hotel. Very luxurious and private
Restaurant facilities can be better both in terms of interior and a bit more choice
Everything. Scrumptious. Friendly and efficient staff.
Minibar empty. Parking fee in hotel's garage. They should consider a breakfast buffet included in the room rate in addition to an à la carte that is not. But overall, it's all worth the experience.
