    Cleanliness and spaciousness of rooms and bathrooms. The staff was very friendly, helpful yet not intrusive and overbearing.

    We had a standard suite on the 2nd floor, very clean, beautiful modern design, all as you'd expect for this category of hotel, but with the added extra of a fully equipped kitchen, even including a washer dryer! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble, from James who showed us to our room, to the fastest, and tastiest room service we've ever enjoyed, despite it being 1am. The sky bar was an excellent place to enjoy great value sundowners and even on a winter's day the pool looked very inviting.

    There was no bath but the shower was lovely, big and powerful. It would be nice for the spa facilities to include a jacuzzi / steam room etc for the colder months, it currently just provides beauty treatments.

    Everything. Scrumptious. Friendly and efficient staff.

    Minibar empty. Parking fee in hotel's garage. They should consider a breakfast buffet included in the room rate in addition to an à la carte that is not. But overall, it's all worth the experience.

    WAUW! What a lovely place to be! Beautiful spacious rooms, good staff, great view and bar up on the roof and very good affordable. Worth all your money.

    Washing machine door didn't close but the man tried to fix it and gave a free solution. I missed a blowdryer.

    Everything . The staff were perfect and professional special thanks to Mr sedeq and Mr naser for thier help the hotel was safe and nearby all attraction

    Things that not related to service like the places of the electical points which make it difficult for us to charge our phones . The 2nd is the hotel resturent which was renewed and closed other wise everything was perfect

    Rooms are great and staff very friendly.

    5 star no room service and no breakfast at hotel because of rennovations.Should let the patrons know when you book if you are comfortable with this.I would not have accepted the booking if I knew that there are no facilities available.We could not even get a coke light never mind a drink at 20h45 after working all day.We had to go down the road and have a drink.

    The porter James and the doorman, the gentleman who valet parked my car were constantly professional, polite with a warm smile. The hotel view from the 7th floor was amazing with the perfect location.

    Where do I start... To arrive in a self catered room with no supplies, no, iron, no hair dryer, no pans, no pots. The butlers ( the two females) I encountered were somewhat useless. I asked for pots, pans, mixing bowls, and a electric mixer; I got pans and a whisk! I was told they did not have an electric mixer. I needed a rolling pin, they didn't have one, but sent someone to purchase one the next day. The bath towels were tattered, the heater upstairs and downstairs, wouldn't heat the place adequatly. The chairs in the dining area were dirty and loose fitting connections, one was unsafe to sit in. There were no pictures on the wall. It took a minimum of three phone calls to the "butler" to get any request delivered. The "butler" couldn't get the washer to work, so they did a complimentary wash for me, but lost a pair of underware. Upon arrival, I was told by the "butler", I would need to provide soap for the dishwasher and laundry washer, so I went to Woolworths and purchased it, only to be told by the duty manager later that the hotel provided it. It wasn't until I was settling the bill ( the room was registered in my name and I was paying for all expenses) that I was acknowledged. I paid in advance for 5 nights, because I was checking out before the the rest of my party. The billing system was absolutely CHAOTIC!!! Difficult to explain and understand. The duty manager was also confused, she stated " I was also confused, but I learned something today." To advertise you are a 5 Star hotel and not deliver is false. This hotel has potential to live up to the advertisement. The location and views are great. I chose Cape Royal over the Cape Grace Hotel. Next visit I promise will be at the Cape Grace. The "butlers" and middle management should be an embarrassment to your hotel and staff with the exception of Sedulous who followed through.

    Washing machine in room. Nice closet space. Small balcony. Nice rooftop bar.

    Our internet did not work. The staff promised to fix this but did not. We asked the staff twice for coffee packets. They said they would bring it to the room but it never was delivered.

    7-10 minute walk to V&A Waterfront. Friendly and attentive staff. Nice big, clean rooms. Great rooftop bar for checking out the sunset. Overall, really nice.

    We took a suite in the Cape Royal for a week on business and it was a exceptionally good experience. The room was very large indeed and immaculately kept which was exactly what we needed to impress clients. The kitchen was excellent and having a washer drier was very useful, all were top end appliances and worked perfectly. The staff were all wonderfully helpful and happy and the place had a wonderful atmosphere. When I needed a replacement computer cable urgently, the concierge arranged for me to take a car to the Mall and wait while I got it, so within 20 mins of leaving my room, I was back with it which was amazing. We used a hotel driver to go to the airport on departure and that too was seamless. All in all this is one of the top few hotels that we have stayed in worldwide and I give it my highest recommendation.

    Spacious 2 bedroom apartment within a lovely building. Concierge and doormen very helpful. Nice little pool on the roof with great views. Loved the Nespresso coffee machine.

    2nd bedroom a bit noisy and beds not as comfortable as main room.

    Excellent all round service helpful staff . Brilliant Location and very clean

    Complimentary wifi not enough so had to buy some more however reception had free wifi. Hotel in Joberg has free wifi every where

    Beautiful hotel in a good location.

    We had an incident regarding one of our luggages. We found it with a broken zipper and staff out of place. Security manager investigated and said that "He can vouch for his staff from an honesty point of view". And that was it. No one from the hotel apart from him contacted me after that. I would never expected this type of attitude from a five star hotel.

    The hotel is impressive looking with staff in top hats opening the doors for you. Concierge service is always ready to assist you and give you information about what to do and where to go. Internet access is quite good. There are robes and slippers in the room Great location only 7 minutes walk to the V&A waterfront shopping centre.

    The price... But if you are looking to cook your own meals the suite is great and needed. I felt uncomfortable sometimes not knowing what will be charged or not ( i.e: pick up service, booking service etc...) Breakfast at the bistro 1800 is expensive. All access to information was through concierge only, no brochures of things to do and see were available.

    The staff were very helpful and no issue was a problem to them. The facilities in the room were some what basic in terms of comfort for watching TV. We had a one bedroom suit. We enjoyed the experience with the room staff being excellent also.

    The furniture in the room was not as clean as it could have been, and the kitchen was not well stocked in terms of utensils if fact none at all including pots and kitchen knifes etc.
