the shower was nice
WiFi was horrible, bed to small, mountain view room was 2nd floor and to loud, no sound proofed windows, no exhaust air system in the bathroom and no window
The location, the comfort and spaciousness of the room, the view from our room, the incredibility helpful and gracious staff, the breakfast (except for the coffee).
The hotel offers fantastic Value For Money - Great location, with fantastic views of Table Mountain. Clean, fresh and modern hotel décor with friendly staff. Located away from the "hustle & bustle" of the City but close enough to stroll through the Gardens onto the Waterfront/ Marina. We can't wait to come back.
Located in a nice safe quiet area, near to Waterfront (20m walk) and Table Mountain. Company garden a spot very Close. The restaurant outside and inside good.
WiFi very difficult and took long time to login (Wifi-operator "G-connect" extremly bad!). Only 500 MB free, it is to little if you use Iphone/Ipad with ICloud.
Noise from air-conditioning unit all night!
The rooms are not properly insulated and as the hotel is on a very busy street it was almost impossible to sleep . It was like trying to sleep next to a highway. The other disappointing thing was they had rented out the small dinning bar area on the Saturday night for a party. Not only did this stop the quests from eating or having a drink in the hotel but now we had continuous traffic noise and then the pleasure of the music that was being played at party and all the partygoers noise - all veranda / patio doors were left open and partygoers were celebrating inside and outside. Please we were only advised of this event and the no dinner notice on sat morning.
Warm staff, perfect location!
Wifi not enough!
Location was great. Not knowing Cape Town our initial inclination was a waterfront hotel. However the location of this hotel more in the heart of the older part of the city next to The Company's Garden was far far better.
Miserly free wifi allowance.
great staff good location
need better tv stations listed on site parking and there is none
reasonable price good location clean
horrible coffee very small bathroom, but nice
Spacious room, good lighting, rooms facing Queen Victoria Street have great view of the Table Mountain, scenic bus stop right in front of hotel
restaurant food limited choice & not up to standard, stairs very dark & restaurant also closed during load shedding and had to walk up & down flights of stairs frequently, basin in bathroom exceptionally small !
The location was close to the office where I was working. The staff were friendly and wanted to help.
The first problem was that the safe didn't work and the person who fixed it blamed the clean up crew for not reporting it. For the price (over $300 per night) i expect a fridge, safe that works, bathtub, no ants, free wifi, more than 1 free movie channel, a quiet room, quick pick-up of the phone when calling reception, and a substantial desk. There were NONE of these things. The worst part was the limited wifi. They say that you get free wifi up to a limit but there was a glitch in the system such that if you log out without reaching your limit, the system assumes that you have reached your limit. If you want more wifi then you have to buy it online with a credit card. I dont like to use my credit card online when traveling. They do not offer the option of buying wifi time and charging it to the room. I cant go back to this hotel again because I need reliable wifi access. One night I had no wifi access at all. The noise problem was also significant. And the trash was not removed daily.
The proximity of this hotel to many places in central Cape Town is very convenient. The breakfast was always delicious and the rooms were comfortable and always well appointed.
Parking facilities are slightly lacking but I took the advise of another guest and parked on the street in front of the hotel. My car was safe there and this proved to be no issue in the end.
The services are cool. But the internet is extremely poor.
Cape town Hollow Boutique hotel has a fantastic location, just a few minutes away from the Waterfront and just a street away from one of the famous streets- Long street which is full of clubs, amazing people, wonderful crowds, and great restaurants. For those who like relaxing, there is a huge garden opposite the hotel, so green and so calm. And for the tourists who love history, the Museum and Planetarium is literally 30 seconds from the Hotel exit.
The hotel bathroom was not cleaned during our stay. This was very disappointing. The other disappointing feature is the Wi-fi. You only get 250MB of data for 24hours. International tourists depend on the Wi-Fi for communication and this limited the communication. i would suggest unlimited Wi-Fi, besides how many guests will use the Wi-fi for 24hours? almost none.
No parking facilities. Poor maintenance of bathrooms. Rooms should have had a bar fridge. Requested faults on rooms not attended to.
Central location at Company's Garden. Friendly and helpful staff.
It looked like the hotel is being renovated at the moment, when I entered my room somebody was just repairing the tap. The windows didn't completely close so there was noise from the outside. There was no WiFi when I stayed there.
Bed too short. Old style room Quite expensive compare to nice guest houses you can find in Cape Town
Only a short stay but location was excellent
Great location. We walked everywhere. The staff were amazing.
Great location and friendly and helpful staff.
Mountain view room was excellent. Very nice full breakfast. Location was very central, especially to restaurants and night life in the CityBowl area. Easily accessible and close to Long/ Loop St. Also many rental car companies nearby and hotel charged 75 Rand per night for parking. Great live music in the bar on Friday evenings. Staff was very helpful with all types of questions and very friendly.
There was no soap bar or trey in the shower. Also Shampoo or Conditioner was not clearly marked. Small-ish bathrooms but clean. Wifi signal is very poor and pretty inaccessible in the rooms; had to go to their "buisness center" which wasn't much better. They really need to improve their wifi situation.
It was our second stay good location for getting to all points of the city
We were led to believe car parking was free but you have to pay. The multi storey is two minutes away it's best to just pay direct
Great location with view of Table mountain and central for shops and markets
