Cape Town Lodge Hotel  

Excellent breakfast. Staff was efficient, but not always very cheery. Very accommodating when needed.

The internet service was not included and ridiculously expensive

Location, facilities, nice room (838). Plumbing needs fixing, safe unreliable. Conference rooms - I did not feel I had value for money and the hotel should consider an hourly rate option for conference room hire in the evenings -say half the 24 hour price. I needed the room for two periods of 4 hours, and because of the expense (I had prepaid my bedroom so could not change) will choose another hotel for my three anual business visits to Cape Town.

The hotel is very well situated, with view on Table Mountain and all important spots of town within reach. The rooms are very luxurious and the minibar is full of goodies. The bathroom is top quality and all equipment is brandnew. Upon my arrival I was upgraded to the penthouse. That was a very nice experience.

When the weather is cold and wet, the wind sometimes enters the room through the doors that lead to the outside corridor of the penthouse. The airco in that room is not strong enough to fully do away with the cold air. Good thing one can always "hide" in the sleeping room which is warm enough.

The location was great, the hotel was clean and well maintained and the staff was helpful. Also, i booked my New Year's trip to Cape Town 2 days before New Year's Eve and everything worked out great.

My preference is small boutique hotels, however, Cape Town was great, had an beautiful view of the city and was in the center of the action and felt very safe.

It's location, the pool at the roof and the good suite.

air conditioning wasn't cold enough, 'roof top swimming pool' was highly exaggerated, swimming pool was very small, view of Table Mountian was highly reduced from surrounding apartments. it's not really a rooftop swinning poolif there's 3 floors of accommodation above you. breakfast menu kept changing

The receptionist made a copy of the back of my credit card where the c v v number was located. I objected to this because it is definitely not in any credit card holders interest to have both your c v v number and card number available for semi-public perusal. I believe that this practice of Cape Town Lodge may create opportunities for fraudulent activity..

Our room had a big kitchen, but no pots, no nothing but four knives/spoons/fork and a couple of wine glasses. We use the freezer to "desmell" our sneakers. The stove was good for nothing. There was also a veranda outside the rom - sheltered an nice with a beautiful view of Table Mountain - we missed a littte table and a couple of chairs out there to endulge the options.

Safety and cleanness of the place is so impressive and all staff members are welcome and helpful in all ways.

I did not understand the payments methods and also didn't get clarity of what i am paying for especially on my clock out day. However, on my clock in my credit card was debited with R800.00 for security, but i also paid cash for packing on my departure and i did not use anything from the hotel's small room bars. I will appreciate if i can get clarity for that eight hundred bucks. But so far everything went exceptionally well.
