A little Eden of tranquil pools, deeply shaded glades and quiet flower gardens, this luxury estate hotel is situated in the beautiful Mpumalanga Region. The cobbled streets and exotic grounds coupled with the enchanting sounds and smells of the bush, and the warm and friendly atmosphere make Casa do Sol a destination of choice for a wide variety of travelers. Just beyond the boundaries of the hotel are sights such as God's Window, the Blyde River Canyon and more. Casa do Sol is situated within the 1240 acre Illanga Nature and Game Reserve, where you can go on designated hiking trails, and see various game species in their natural habitats. The staff of the hotel were very friendly and could not do enough to assist you. The location and grounds are idyllic and perfect as a base for exploring the Eastern Transvaal and Kruger Park.

We stop for one night at Casa do Sol before heading to the Safari in Kruger National Park the next day. The hotel is outside of the city center of Hazyview in a very peaceful environment. The room was spacious, clean and we also had an outside terrace which was nice after a very long drive from Joburg. We wish we could have enjoy the pool. Great sittting in the nature but we had to leave early the next morning. The staff and service was great and the food was good. It was such a beautiful night that we requested to eat outside and it was not a problem at all. Very nice place! You really have to know where it is as there are no indication of it in Hazyview.

While the hotel itself is lovely, has the most beautiful gardens, and the waiting staff are friendly and helpful, we experienced a number of problems during our stay. On one of the nights there was a power failure that affected the entire establishment and unfortunately they seemed to be extremely ill-prepared for such an event. The management was also unwilling to take responsibility for the inconvenience. During our stay there was also another, very large group staying at the hotel. Preparations regarding parking and specific types of alchoholic beverages (which they ran out of on the first day of our 4 day stay due to the big event they were catering for) were very poorly made. When we were leaving there was not a single porter in sight to help with taking the luggage to the car - which had to be parked some distance away due to the lack of parking available. I would not rush to recommend this hotel to discerning guests.

The accommodation is very luxurious and enjoyable. Dinner was very good as well and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The hotel is also situated in a beautiful part of SA.

Sehr schöne Gartenanlage mit 2 Pools, kurze Anfahrt in den Krüger Park. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in der näheren Umgebung (Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrims Rest, Wasserfälle etc.).

Schon der sehr nette Empfang am Tor ! Er lachte einfach immer! Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung und die Gegend schön. Leider keine Menue-Auswahl. Es gibt ein Buffet und fertig. Auch nicht sehr sauber, es sind viele Insekten "vor Ort". Da hier viele Gruppen aus Europa übernachten und essen, welche anscheinend zu wenig Trinkgeld geben, ist das Personal nicht sehr motiviert. Auch das Frühstückbuffet hat zu viele fremde "Mitbewohner". Als wir zum Buffet kamen war alles schwarz von Fliegen und sonstiges, aber kein Mitarbeiter vor Ort! Accomodation schön, aber Essen weniger gut!

Sehr schöne Anlage, Räumlichkeiten lassen keine Wünsche offen, Service sehr gut WLAN-Verbindung nur von der Lobby aus möglich, nicht im Zimmer. Toilette war nicht gereinigt-möglicherweise versehentlicher Einzelfall
