Location is bit good to travel around.
Photos are totally different from the exact location. Be CARE FULL !!
The staff was so kind and helpful. It was a delight to stay at Casa do Sol
Friendly helpful staff! Good food and beautiful gardens/surroundings! My TV problem was sorted out in a jiffy!!
Room was spacious, and comfortable, parking was good. Came and went as we pleased.
The bathroom was small. Our hot water went off so we had to use another room to wash which had a much bigger bathroom. Little bit of noise from the tenant above.
We had my son's wedding there the weekend. Everything was good.
The cash bar was very expensive.
Everything about the lodge was beautiful, staff was friendly and very helpful.
The hotel is beautiful. The staff friendly. The bedding and towels in good condition. I would recommend the hotel to anybody
The staff aew very friendly and welcoming The food is excellent
I couldnt find basic things in my room like shower gel and small towels again the safety box was locked making me carry my important items with me all the time
The staff with one exception were excellent. They were charming and so very helpful. The breakfast was superb with such a variety of everything including freshly made apple turnovers and muffins and lovely fresh fruit, yoghurts, lovely bread and a cooked breakfast if required. The Superior room we eventually took No 125 was upstairs, very clean and comfortable, spacious, light and airy with a balcony with wonderful views. We loved the large and beautiful gardens. So very relaxing and well kept.
We didn't like the first two rooms we were shown, but liked the final one upstairs. Dinner was a bit basic. A bit like school dinners. No finesse. Didn't like the pool bleach spread everywhere. Nasty smell. Disappointed that the tennis court was unusable and in poor condition. Didn't like the fact that one staff member tried to 'forget' to bring us our change even though we did tip well.
Very good envitenment surrounding, well maintained. Very friendly anf courseious staffs Innocencent at the reception is very helpful and couresious staff member.
Entrence road way dirt road bou not maintaine for driving.
Friendly late evening reception. Facilities all very impressive, clean and it was unfortunate we had to leave early the next day so we could not avail of the other facilities. Friend arrived in the middle of the night (4am) and yet the staff were very accommodating. Overall we would recommend it to our friends and family.
We arrived late and we settled into the room but on arrival we were not informed when the bar or restaurant was closing. As a result we missed it by 5 minutes.
Plenty of hot water in the room
Braai buffet not good .Flies buzzing around uncovered food. Television didn't work in our room no DSTV avaliable either. Rooms need a coat of paint. Very poor value for money.
Staff were pleasant
We were not informed that dinner was charged per course R40 starter R100 main and R40 for pudding. R180.00 was an expensive amount to pay for Bean soup that tasted of chocolate, and Malva pudding that tasted of haddock. We will not recommend the Casa do Sol.
Pool area is very scenic. Bed was very comfortable, slept like a baby.
Couches are very uncomfortable, you almost have to sit upright.
Beautiful gardens - it felt like we were in paradise. Staff are very friendly and the kitchen was very accommodating to my wife's food allergies.
Small maintenance issues in the suite - shower drain was blocked and bedside lamp needed fiddling to stay on.
The ambiance of an Italian hilltop village.
The food oon our second night was dreadful. We dined at 8.00pm and it was very busy. They were expecting it to be so. There were no fresh veg. The oxtail was just bone. The beef was overcooked and quite tough. The desserts numbered only 3 the fruit salad was 90per cent apple the other two very poor. There was no cheese all in all a great let down. we will go there again because everything else was so good
staff very friendly and helpful, rooms so spacious and bed & bedding felt like heaven!
evening buffet just average
The food and presentation thereof was very satisfying! The chef was well spoken and very welcoming! Very impressed!
The general staff , reception and turnaround time on queries was pretty much non existent.. Not sure we would frequent again.. Poor service delivery.
Peaceful environment and beautiful garden like surrounds that appeals to those seeking natural environments away from the stress and rat race of city life.
Faulty electronic door lock, when I reported this, the individual at reception was not to clued up and did not respond to my request for a new card, eventually calling a colleague who did help me but it took some time. This incident prevents me from giving a higher rating in regards to staff, it's a pity as most of the other staff members were extremely pleasant.
Staff are extremely friendly and would like to especially name Nomsa at the Bar and the gentleman at the main gate. Rooms are fantastic and have all one needs to relax.
It is such a lovely, peaceful, restful place. The surroundings and the garden hotel itself is so beautiful. We really enjoyed the friendly staff, the smiles and the excellent enthusiastic service. The hotel has a lovely Tuscan feel but each room has an African flavor and is very modern.
There was no air freshener in the bathroom.
Friendly staff Beautiful gardens Fabulous food
