The staff is so discreet but efficient. We loved the relaxing atmosphere. Incredible breakfast (+20 different jams) with a view to die for. No kids indeed, real Holidays!
flying back home
beautiful pool incredible atmosphere private, elegant and discreet the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view see you soon!
Warm welcome and friendly staff
Our allocated parking space being taken. Breakfast was good, but not all items covered up on buffet.
Amazing view Great staff Beautiful rooms Very nice "honesty bar" Highly recommended!!
Location marvellous. Room comfortable
Breakfast boring. Same every day. Shower very low pressure. Limited privacy particularly by pool when owner entertains own friends there
Furniture very comfortable. Place is beautifully designed and interior design is beautiful
Music throughout compass house. Loved the music but a variety of different music would have been great. Music is soft and soothing but becomes a bit monotonous by day 2. Music should be changed daily.
I got the worst experienc in this hotel. They deducted 100% of room charge after i made the reservation instead of 50% they claimed. After that, they are very quiet, even we i wrote to them for help there was no reply. The staff are very slow and unprofessional. We have to wait outside the locked gate for almost 10 minutes for entrance. No sorry. There is a weird atmosphere inside which make it like a hotel specially for some people with same secret hobby. The worst is they refused to accomdate us when they know we got children under 14 without any refund. I agured that the Chinese version description of their children policy on the website is not clear. They just said rudely that i should talk to the website. it is none of their business.
The seclusion was unparalleled and our personal facilities were amazing. The swimming pool was a delight. It was a first class experience
The breakfast could have included smoked salmon for example as an alternative to cold meats. We thought that charging for tea and coffee in our room was sad.
the room we stayed in had spectacular ocean view. The room was cleaned twice a day. We definetly will stay there again. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation. A hotel of this calibre really makes a difference to your holiday. We highly recommend it.
we liked everything about this hotel
Increadible rooms and view. Small hotel, only 8 rooms, you almost feel at home.
Dont expect room service, as is an small hotel, there is no amenities.
The hotel was spectacular and the attention to detail from the decor to the ambiance within the room (gentle music in the background) was impressive. The view from the hotel is out of this world! Breakfast each morning was delicious and elegant. I loved every moment being there!
Compass House was a real treat to stay at, the room was spectacular and had the most amazing view. The breakfast is not cooked but still fantastic and sitting out on the deck with an amazing view is worth every penny. Wish we had been there in summer so we could utilise the stunning swimming pool and area. The bed was great and room extremely clean, modern and tidy. The manager was welcoming and a great host. The area is also wonderful and a gorgeous part of Cape Town to stay in, lovely walks and very safe and affluent. Would highly recommend this guest house.
We did not state what time we were arriving on booking.com (do not remember being asked this) and so when we arrived at 12.30pm we had to wait until 2pm to get into the room, even though we were told it should only take half an hour. Although the room was spectacular when we got into it. We also left our luggage after check-out so we could pick it up later, but found on return it had been kept in the garage and someone had run our luggage over and the suitcase had split and we had to purchase a new suitcase.
quiet ,well positioned and clean
they can improve the towels and the plug locations
