With great Atlantic Ocean views, The Ritz is just 1000 ft from the beach and minutes from the V&A Waterfront. It boasts the only revolving restaurant in Cape Town.

Score from 15 reviews Excellent
Quirky rooms with themes very cool, great beds and bathrooms. Lovely helpful staff!!
Good coffee but no breakfast
Awesome, funky hotel. Great vibe and the location is excellent.
very VERY friendly and helpfull staff. location is great, right in the middle of restaurants and bars. rooms are nice, complementary coffee and tea
No parking space available, even though it said so. Parking costs about R108 per day. Rooms are a bit noisy.
location value for money good mattress clean friendly staff
no secure parking available no option of a breakfast bed a bid small
Very noisy - not just noise from outside but from inside the hotel. Far too expensive for what it is. After I booked two rooms I called to ask about the parking - the duty manager told me that there was only one room available. Luckily Booking.com were able to sort this out for me. There was very little privacy between the room and the toilet, just an opaque sliding door with large gaps at the edges. The internet connection went off halfway through the stay and didn't come back on. The idea for the rooms is interesting but it's very tired now. More like an upmarket backpackers, not really a 'boutique hotel'.
friendly staff, helpful, close to the waterfront
next door neighbours were very noisy, not enough insulation against noises in the rooms...
The hotel is very unique and the room was very different! The complimentary coffee and biscuits was also nice.
The staff could be a bit friendlier.
Staff were excellent and the location was good.
COmfort levels were poor - no bath, no TV and it is noisy. It is really only a backpackers type of place and ill suited as a business hotel.
Very particular hotel Nice location and friendly staff
Different design for each room can be novel if done right
Rooms lack everything- basics like a chair to put clothing, telephone, TV, toilet seat cover. Staff was disinterested in helping with request with the expect ion of one of the three we encountered during our stay. Would I stay there again - not likely.
Central location. Restaurants closeby. Friendly, helpful staff. Unique hotel. Enjoyed our stay. Initially thought finding parking for our hired car in a city centre area might be a problem. It turned out, however, that we had no difficulty in this regard during our four night stay.
No negative comments to make.
Relaxed atmosphere, central Cape Town location, individuality of the rooms, roof terrace, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
no minus points
Staff were helpful, location excellent.
Our room (Sailor Jerry) was just too small for two people plus luggage. We like to have tea making facilities in the room but appreciate it was too small to accommodate. Like the art theme but rather style over substance!
Cool location. African music store underneath. Funky decor
Stairs spaces cramped, sound of plumbing n the morning
it is funky , its in long street cape town
1) it is small 2) there is not even a tv in the bar to watch the rugby 3) it is on the second floor 4) no designated parking 5) no breakfast or relationship with another restaurant that can provide
i thought it was expensive for a type of back packer joint and no lifts so I had to carry my bike up 3 flights os stairs. Rooms were also small
Like the location because it is walkable distance to so many cafés restaurant etc. buzzy atmosphere. Great guests. Near to Grand Daddy with its rooftop bar too.
The friendly staff and the central location
The rooms are close together and it can be very noisy
Staff is very helpful, excellent location, themed rooms are awesome
No ice available in hotel. Room was clean, but underneath the bed it was very dirty
Friendly and helpfull staff Beautifull design Simple and good Perfect location
There was nothing we did not like
No wardrobe or place to unpack a suitcase in The Emergency Room
Loved the location, very central
Parking, its stated that parking is available at a cost, I phoned the property, they only have 1 parking bay available 2 block away from the hotel, this is not parking being available, I was advised to park in the street, rooms were dirty, found hair on the shelves, all in all, I would stay there again but not for the rate we paid, as value for money is 0 out of 10, cannot charge the rates we paid for the facilities we received.
I loved the ambience of the hotel, the old-style charm of the building, the friendly, mellow staff, the location in heart of the city. Loved my room too - Palimpsest - homely and comfortable.
I stayed in the Palimpsest room - two helpful additions would be a towel rail or hook somewhere in the bathroom or bedroom, and a latch on the cupboard door to stop it swinging open all the time.
The truly unique rooms, the most central location possible and despite this our room was really quiet (do not disturb room). Value for money.
