The rooftop jacuzzi
The stainless steel toilet
We stayed in 2 Bayview Terrace. Fantastic location. The design is great and the views over V&A and to Tablemountain spectacular. Design and facilities are great and faultless. The own garage is a great bonus. Daily cleaning works very well and a well stoked drinks fridge is great. The alarmsystem made us feel safe. The team at reception has been very helpful. We will not want to stay anywhere else, when in Cape Town!
There is nothing substantial that comes to mind. The website refers to "in walking distance to V&A" et al. Distance wise that is correct, but at night a taxi seems a better option.
Cape Town, V & A and if you can get a booking - "The Test Kitchen"
The management of this apartment cannot be trusted to properly address a serious issue - something was taken from the room. This spoiled a magnificent holiday in Southern Africa
Undercover parking bay a good bonus.
Rear door needed attention (jamming).
The location was very central
Parking was a huge problem especially during the day
Staff really couldn't be more helpful. Great location Lovely apartment - nice condition and everything worked.
Wi-fi not great - not really that important to us and generally found that to be the case in SA
This was a perfect location for downtown/waterfront because it was slightly off the beaten path, very secure and a patrolled area, quiet neighborhood, yet very nice local dining areas and shopping. We loved the Jacuzzi on the roof and the layout of the apartment. Staff was amazingly attentive, and the unit was cleaned everyday. A store is nearby, and if you want them to stock the unit before you arrive, just give them a shopping list. They arranged for pickup at the airport and can arrange for a driver if needed to explore the area while you are a guest there. Since we enjoy walking, we found the location perfect for exploring the area and the waterfront.
My only complaint is that we did not stay longer!
ALL OF THE ABOVE AND THE DECOR WAS EXCEPTIONAL. PERSIAN RUGS AND ERUDITE BOOKS ON THE SHELVES TO READ.
BALLOON PILLOWS. PLEASE MAKE SOFTER THINNER PILLOWS AVAILABLE.
Wonderful spacious cottage - history on the outside, modern on the inside.
Amazing location. Close to a few bars and restaurants. Spar is a 5 min walk away especially staying in a self catering accommodation.
No biggys. Have to park on the street. Have to pay extra for wifi. Low pressure in the showers. Other than that all good.
I loved my week-long stay at de Waterkant cottages. The decor and general ambience was exceptional, the staff super welcoming and helpful and the views breathtaking! The close proximity to Cape Quarter and easily accessible location was also a bonus. All in all, for a business traveller who is frequently couped up in cramped sometimes mediocre hotel rooms, this apartment was a lovely departure from the mundane. When business feels like a holiday because of where you are staying, then it's happy days!
Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect!
This was a fully equipped real apartment house. Nice decorated at the heart of Cape town (walking distance to many things).
No free, limited access to internet. We were not informed of this. As we had to stay in touch with work, this was a significant problem.
Spacious, fabulous view, very clean, location, design, easy and secure parking. When in Cape Town, this is the place to be.
The location and the style of the apartment A lot of nice and trendy restaurants in the area. We felt safe walking about
There is a bar right next to the apartment, which was a bit loud.
very comfortable bed, bathrooms very modern and clean, well appointed kitchen with great range of crockery, glassware and cooking implements and saucepans for the self caterer. Close to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and shopping. The supermarket had a wide range of foods, cheese, wines, fruit and vegetables. It is only a short and cheap taxi ride to the V&A Waterfront. The plunge pool will be nice in warmer weather as well as the outdoor table and barbeque in a lovely courtyard area. It was in a very quiet street, 29 Jarvis. I would love to come back and stay here again.
Amazing View Friendly Staff
Whom ever cleaned, just threw the bedding onto the beds, left the pillows etc on the floor each morning!
Brilliant location, you get a great view from the rooftop balconies. Great shopping, cafes and restaurants around the area. Friendly and helpful staff.
Just as described. In the heart of a quiet neighborhood in the city, an easy walk to tourist destinations. Beautiful accommodation, with views of both the mountain and the harbor.
Central location and very nice neighborhood Big apartment with nice facilities and beautiful design
Everything was nice about the place
The wifi did not connect
Super huge space. 2 floors, 2 rooms, 3 toilets, 1 kitchen, 1 living room with sofa and TV. Everything you can imagine was available like BOSCH washing machine and drying machine, microwave oven, toaster oven, cooker, bread machine, etc. A nice balcony on the top. Can't be better for business men and family 'coz it's 1km away from CTICC, just 300m away from a SAPR supermarket and some nice restaurants and bars.
1. One air-con was not working. 2. It would be nice if laundry powder was available for laundry. 3. Too many doors with old style locks, would be better to do it with less, or automatic ones. 4. Breakfast is not included.
Apartment is very spacious. The layout is well set out - for entertaining you have a fully functional kitchen and spacious open plan lounge area. I am a frequent traveler to Cape Town and this to date has been the absolute best spot I have stayed in.
The fact that I had to leave
The appartment is very neat and clean. The kitchen is well-equipped, as is the bathroom. Comfy sitting room too. The neighbourhood is cosy, with a small shopping mall and some restaurants nearby. The neighboorhood is well-maintained and quit and consists mainly of rental appartments for tourists. This can be seen a pro or con; you won't get a view of the real life of Cape Town and its inhabitants.
We visited Cape Town in winter time. The appartment was relatively cold and was difficult to warm up. Especially at night, the upper floor of the appartment was cold and draughty. Internet signal and television signal were not very good.
