Location,views,nearby restaurants,cosiness,staff,breakfast,decoration. Has it all!
Gave me thr room at almost street level with car noises passing did not offer any alteernative or option simply just allocated the room with no discussion
Booking.com should firstly ensure that the pics posted on the website is indeed what travellers will receive when they book in
Firstly, the pics of the room as advertised on the booking.com website was deceiving. We were allocated a very small room at the back of the establishment overlooking a massive construction site. secondly, we had to cut our holiday short due to a family emergency and was told we would not be reimbursed for the balance of our booking. These things do happen and the option to cancel should be allowed. I will not use this method of booking again as we lost quite alot of money and booking.com will not see me again. I have subsequently broadcasted this experience to quite a few friends and relatives who are regular travellers and they too will take heed to this. And have published it on social networks. My opinion is that booking.com should be aware of scams like this out there.
The shower door was so narrow I had to really squeeze in sideways to get in. I had to go into the bedroom to dry myself as the "bathroom" was too small. The towels were threadbare and thin and hard. Very Old. Hardly any space to get off the hard bed to go to the bathroom. Sitting on the toilet, I could brush my teeth in the basin at the same time it was so small. Definately not value for money. For breakfast I asked for toast and scrambled eggs. I got 1 slice almost toasted bread slapped on a small plate with scrambled eggs which was burnt underneath slapped onto the plate next to it. I took a photo of it it was so bad. I did not even eat it as it was so unappetizing. All in all shocking for the price I paid. Will definitely not go back and not recommend it. The hostess had a very open vest like top on and when she bent down you could see right down it. Not the appropriate dress code for a hostess!! Not a good experience at all.
Nothing. Maybe only the proximity to the waterfront.
Excellent location; wonderfully charming atmosphere; welcoming and unfailingly helpful hosts. Our first trip to Cape Town was made all the more pleasurable with Dolphin Inn as our base and doubt we'd even consider staying anywhere else on our next! Cannot recommend highly enough.
Paul and Tania were the most wonderful hosts - warm and welcoming, down-to-earth, very concerned with my comfort and needs. Well equipped, fabulous location - whale sightings, walks on the promenade, lovely restaurants a few minutes away, Waterfront within walking distance. I had needed during my stay. Wish I had discovered this gem ages ago!
Just a suggestion if you are a light sleeper to try and get back rooms as quieter at breakfast time and road traffic not annoyingly audible.
Everything! Decor, room, lounge, location, view, breakfast! Mini bar in room. Whales viewed from lounge area and Egyptian gees seen crossing the road with goslings! Owners are so friendly, welcoming and chilled out. Felt right at home.
Sadly there is noisy building next door.
Perfect location and excellent value for money
The lovely couple who run it, and the Cat.
Warm welcome, unique decor, comfortable and great location.
The service is very good and they have a very relaxed atmosphere. Loved it!
Hosts Paul and Tanya very friendly and gave some good hints and tips to make the most of Cape Town. Easy free parking and near the My Citi bus stops. Excellent breakfasts.
Wifi didn't work. Bedroom was too small, double bed pushed up against one wall meant one person could not get out the side of the bed.
Truly a wonderful space. Delightful, colourful rooms with furniture that has character. Its well situated, walking distance from the V&A waterfront and the aquarium, plus you're right on the beach front. Nothing like waking up a short few steps away from seeing whales breach the surface. I would absolutely come back!
I found the bed uncomfortable. Shame there wasn't a greater choice of TV channels.
Views, position, Friendly staff always helpful
On road parking
The location - and staff
Nothing, all A1.
Location and the great staff. Bus stop a few feet away, but there is no sound from the buses going by. Staff could not be more helpful to make your stay a memorable one in Cape Town. No where else would I consider staying.
Rooms care small - but never mind
Nice breakfast. Tanja and Paul made us feel like home. Place with atmosphere and character
The fact that they were full when I tried to extend my stay.
Liked the owners and their casual way yet sincere way of making you feel welcome...loved the location. Best breakfast!
The best location.... Amazing view. Super friendly owners, make you feel "at home". Very good breakfast.
Everything was great... Da place is beautiful, definitely coming again very soon...
Hosts. Location. Breakfast.
We were greated by very friendly owners. They were very smiling and had a simple approche who made us feel very at ease. The location is fantastic ; the just balance between being in town and enjoying the sea.
feel like home
No table in the room to work at, had to work in the public lounge. Street parking.
View of the ocean from a lovely relaxing lounge/dining room. Staff (Owners) were very friendly without overdoing it.
