Surrounded by the Dornier vineyards, this 19th-century home is located in the Blaauwklippen Valley, between the Helderberg and the Stellenbosch Mountains. It includes a restaurant with a large terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available in the entire hotel. The spacious rooms at Dornier Homestead have large windows and wooden floors. Most have a fireplace. Each comes with a tea/coffee maker and a private bathroom. Some rooms include views of the Stellenbosch Mountains, while others have a private balcony. A freshly prepared breakfast is served daily. After breakfast, guests can relax in the garden or enjoy a stroll through the vineyards. Stellenbosch is a 15-minute drive away. Jonkershoek Nature Reserve is just 25 minutes by car. Free private parking is possible at Dornier Homestead. Bed and breakfast: 6 rooms

For half our stay the entire homestead building was occupied by just my husband and me. The other half of the the stay there was a wedding party, that because of the lack od en-suite bathrooms ment plently of activity morning and night. The building was not cleaned at all during our visit. The building is an original, unaltered Homstead, beautifully built and finished, but lacking in modern touches.The WiFi was tempremental to say the least. The gardens are beautiful. Breakfast, advertised as being served at betwenn 8.30 to 10.00 was in fact brought forward to 9o'clock as 'the chef was busy.' Breakfast was served in the vineyard restaurant. The food was good and the staff excellent. It is apparent that the guest accomodation is a new activity and I am sure it will improve. We cannot recomend this venue as it is not properly up and running. The most basic improvement would have to be the provision of En-suite Bathrooms and a beverage facility in each bedroom, rather than a free for all on the landing.

Das Homestead ist schönes altes Landhaus mit einem wunderbaren Garten. Das Restaurant serviert excellente Gerichte. Nur zwei der Zimmer hatten ein eigenes Bad, was uns nicht bewusst war. Auch hatten wir keine Sicht auf die Berge, wie es im Beschrieb hiess.

всё! великолепные пейзажи вокруг - горы, деревья, виноградники. шикарное поместье (просто отелем это назвать нельзя), дух двух- трехсотлетней давности. отличное вино местной винодельни Dornier, прекрасная кухня. об этом месте можно писать только в превосходной степени! такового нет!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Meal -- we got once in four days was excellent. Honeymoonsuite with balcony was excellent too. breakfast not before 9 am. Too late for tourists. Dinner only Thursday,Friday, Saturday. Should be announced in advance. No regular room-service.

Wunderschöner Garten, leckeres Frühstück ; Dinner war hervorragend - beides in sehr schönem Ambiente eingenommen. Im Garten des Homestead waren keine Sitzmöglichkeiten. Nicht alle Zimmer haben eigenes Bad/Toilette.

The location (the mountains around, the vineyards), the quiet of the place, the honeymoon suite we were upgraded to, the free wifi, the fascination of the homestead (a building of the late '700), the garden surrounding the homestead, the small dam close to the homestead and the much bigger one close to the restaurant and the winery, the excellent food and excellent wine served at the Bodega restaurant, the kindness and availability of the staff. Nothing really, the place was exactly as we expected it to be... Some of the rooms (including the one we were given on our first night) do not have any en suite bathrooms: not a real problem though someone may not like it (bathroom and restroom available on the corridor outside the room and only a few guests one could bump into) just a pity that booking.com does not make this perfectly clear...

Le site, la beauté du jardin, la gentillesse du personnel, le calme. Le petit déjeuner est servi très tard, après 9 heures, c'est ennuyeux pour partir faire du tourisme dans un si beau pays.

Sehr schönes altes Herrenhaus im kapholländischen Stil. Klein und stilvoll mit nostalgischem Flair. Das ganze Haus und der wunderschöneGarten konnte von den Gästen genutzt werden inkl. Bibliothek und Wohnzimmer. Die Mahlzeiten wurden im separaten Restaurant eingenommen. Super-nettes Personal, tolles Ambiente, leckeres Essen und guten Wein - himmlisch

War ein altes herrenhaus auf einem Weingut nur 2 Zimmer mit Dusche/Bad + WC von insgesamt 9 Zimmer.Der Rest gemeinschaftsdusche und WC. War bei der Bestätigung nicht so aufgeführt. Restaurant immer nur Fr.-So. geöffnet. Bei Buchung nicht ersichtlich gewesen. Würde nicht nochmal dort übernachten!!
